Catholic Educators and the Call to be Witness
A thought provoking speech presented at the 2005 NCEA CACE Conversations program. CACE Conversations is a one-day program offered as part of the NCEA Annual Convention and is designed to present a professional development opportunity to CACE members as they fulfill their responsibilities as Catholic educational and catechetical leaders. In this speech, Fr. John Hurley challenges all peoples to refer to themselves as disciples of Jesus Christ and emphasized that everyone has a mission that is not yet complete. In a special way, he refers to the General Directory for Catechesis, which states that catechists are formatters of disciples.
