*I received this book in exchange for an HONEST review from Edelweiss.* This is book two in Jennifer Bernard's Love Between the Bases series. The first book All of Me, introduces you to the town, the characters, and to life with the Kilby Catfish. With this one we get a closer, more in depth look at Mike and Donna and their romance. I will say that while you can read this one without having read book one, I think you feel closer to all the characters if you start with book one, All of Me. Now for Caught By You we have Donna, a woman who is struggling with who she is and who she needs to be. Then you have Mike a baseball player who knows what or rather who he wants and while he's sworn off of Love he can't seem to help how he feels about Donna. I have to say I read this one in one night, I did NOT want to put it down. I do plan to do a reread once the book is out, as I've been honored to read it early. Fans of Baseball romance will love this whole series and with each book we get a better look at all the players on the Kilby Catfish, the more I read the more I want them all to have their own story! You will quickly fall in love with Mike and cheer him and Donna on. I loved the way the characters interacted and played with each other. I loved the setting, a small town, being from one all my life I can relate. *Honestly their town is bigger than my own!* So I felt right at home. Caught By You offers readers heat, romance, fun, and several sigh worthy moments. There are times you'll be touched by events, times you'll want to laugh out loud, and times you'll just sigh, but through it all you'll be smiling and eager to turn the page. I highly recommend this one to all fans of Susan Mallery, Jill Shalvis,Sheryl Woods, Robyn Carr,........ You'll be sure to laugh and sigh over Caught By You and be just as eager as me to get your hands on book three......Another winner from Jennifer Bernard! Highly Recommended!

Cute Story that I enjoyed... I did find it repetitive in places... Also a bit slow at times.. But overall I am glad I read it but probably won't seek out this author anytime soon...

It is a rare novelist, and novel, that can bring me to laughter and tears in the same book within mere pages. Jennifer Bernard’s latest, Caught By You, is one such novel. I expected a fun, lively, funny romp as is Bernard’s style. I was surprised by the depth of feeling and the attachment I created with minor characters. Yes, the Kilby Catfish are up to their old tricks, but woven within is a serious story about figuring out who you are and being true to your authentic self. This is not an easy think in life and the novel mirrors that struggle well. Though the happily ever after is guaranteed for the hero and heroine, it does give us all some life lessons about sticking in there. I have been reading Bernard since the very first firefighter novel. I loved her Bachelor Firemen. I followed her to Kilby and the Catfish with enthusiasm. As much as I love the Firemen, I think this is my favorite of her novels. The story of being true to yourself resonates and kept me turning pages. If you haven’t met one of Bernard’s heroes what are you waiting for?

I really enjoyed this book. Being a baseball fan and going to Triple A games this book satisfied this romance and baseball loving reader. The hero Mike was perfect book boyfriend material. I'm partial to catchers so he already had a piece me won over, but after reading this book I don't know how he wouldn't win anyone over. There is a sad part in this one the I freely had tears running down my face and what the team did just has the tears flowing even more. Poor Donna I just felt for this character. She's trying everything she can do to win custody of her little boy. She loves that little guy with all her heart, but it just seems everything is out to block her path. Mike is in her life at the right moment to help her more than she realizes. I loved the flirty banter between the two. The humor in this one was one of my favorite things about the book. The heat between Mike and Donna is HOT! Mike sure has the moves. Another thing that I liked about this book is we get to see a little into how a minor league team operates behind the scenes. It's very interesting plus you have to throw in the small town vibe which just adds to it. Trouble a plenty in this one, but can love triumph over it?

This is such a fun read! The feisty attitudes of the characters make you smile and occasionally chuckle out loud as you read their antics. It's not all fun and games though. There are serious life issues experienced throughout. I smiled alot, I laughed and I cried at one scene. I'm really glad to have read it, and look forward to the next up in the series! Donna MacIntyre is all for having a good time. She's sassy and loves to flirt with Kilby, TX Catfish catcher Mike Solo on a regular basis. When Mike finally lays a big ol' kiss on her at the end of the season, they're both blown away. After a few months away, Mike gets back into town and runs into Donna. She's a totally changed person ... clothing, attitude, looks, etc. He finds out that she's in a custody battle with her ex for a son he didn't know she had. After some media coverage of them hanging out together makes it look bad for her with the judge, Mike suggest they get married to give her an advantage in getting her son back. Even though love wasn't in the cards for either of them in the beginning, the more time they spend together, the more they start wondering what they are truly feeling. ** Received free in exchange for an honest review **

We first met Mike and Donna in All of Me and the sparks between them continue in the second book of the series. Their chemistry is amazing and the humor between them is hilarious. They really are perfect for each other. Mike's heart was broken by his high school sweetheart when he decided to leave the Navy so that he was able to donate a kidney to his older brother. Now playing baseball in the minors, he takes a vow of celibacy at the start of each season as to not get distracted. Donna is trying to regain custody of her son and prevent her ex and his new fiancee from getting full custody - she cannot get involved with Mike, but she cannot deny the attraction she feels towards him. When their PDA gets caught on camera, Mike proposes marriage as a way for their relationship to help Donna with the custody case in case of hurting it. Although reluctant at first, Donna accepts and soon they are both feeling more than sexual chemistry. They encounter some road block on their way to happily ever after, along with some really funny moments between Donna and Mike and some really emotional moments between Mike and his brother. I loved reading this book and look forward to the next Catfish getting caught. I received an ARC via Edelweiss for the purpose of an honest review. I was not compensated for this review, all conclusions are my own.

I adore Jennifer and Mike, the spirit they have, they connection between them, and the humor that cracked me up. They left a big smile on my face, all warm and fuzzy inside. The characters have serious spunk, they are not perfect, they have their faults, and weaknesses. But both Mike and Jennifer have big, caring hearts, goals, and determination to get there. Together they are just hilarious, the dialog between them is brilliant with the banter and fun. The story is not all about flirting and baseball. There are some serious, painful issues as well. The abandonment Jennifer feels from her parents, the teenage pregnancy and the consequences of it, custody battles, and single parenthood are all issues that are nothing to laugh about, and were dealt with respect and dignity they deserve. The tale is built up from the life and romance between Mike and Jennifer, the drama of the small town, and baseball. I liked how there was time spent also on the baseball field, and the sports had some highlight as well. There's a lot happening in this story. All somehow twined together, as life in a small town often is. The story gave me several good laughs, and put a smile on my face with the wit and jest. But it also had moments where Mike's worry of his brother, or Jennifer's burning desire to be the best mom she can be, brought me to tears. With characters that you can't help but love, and a story that touches a wide range of feelings, the author has created a positively entertaining tale, a true page turner ~ Four Spoons with a teaspoon on the side

Jennifer Bernard knocks it out of the park - grand slam!! This is my favorite book of hers so far. Catholic family guy, Mike, takes a Vow of Celibacy at the beginning of every baseball season in his bid to make the Bugs; Donna is a woman who will do whatever it takes to win custody of her little boy. But sometimes love gets in the way - even when you aren't ready to accept that it IS love! Between egotistical ball players and the ruling family in town, even doing the right thing can be misconstrued. But in the end, love wins all! Make sure you have snacks and a company spot to read, 'cause once you start Caught by You, you won't be able to put it down!

Caught By You is another example of Ms. Bernard's quirky sense of humor enveloped in some serious & heart-tugging issues. Well worth the investment of time & money. Looking forward to hear next book!

Jen Bernard does it again! Another funny, sexy, sweet book. Her characters are always likable (except for the terrible Yaz!!), her dialogue believable, her stories fresh and her sex scenes steamy! I'll keep reading about the Catfish as long as she keeps writing about them!

4 Stars Caught by You by Jennifer Bernard is a home run! Mike and Donna are a great team and their chemistry and witty banter had me laughing out loud throughout the book. Donna McIntyre has made some mistakes in her past but she is trying to change all that now in an effort to win custody of her son. She is used to fending for herself and has a hard time accepting help from others. So when Mike, the catcher for the Kilby Catfish offer help in the form of a "fake" marriage Donna is thrown for a loop. Donna assumes this "fake" marriage will be a small thing to help her keep her son but Mike has other plans. These two have serious chemistry and a habit of seeking out closets when things start to heat up! A fun, sexy and addictive read. I can't wait for more of this series! I received an eARC of this book from the publisher for my honest review and opinion. All ratings and opinions stated are my own.

Though it had a slow start, once the ball got rolling (see what I did there?), I had a hard time putting Caught By You down. Mike Solo is my new fictional baseball player boyfriend, though I love Donna so much too that I *almost* feel guilty about it. Almost. ;) Ms. Bernard did a great job keeping the tension taut in this story, both in the romance and with their personal lives. After a somewhat awkward start (maybe it would have worked better for me if I'd been able to read book one, All of Me, and seen their early flirting first? Really, other than that this one worked just fine as a standalone, but now I've got to go back and read Caleb and Sadie's story--pronto!) Both Mike and Donna have plenty going on outside their attraction for each other. Donna's trying to remake her life and earn custody of her young son. Her own childhood was a prime example of less-than parenting, and she's determined that her son's will be different--but she's got a wild past to atone for and an ex and his vengeful fiancee to battle first. Mike's trying to move up to the majors--though he has to deal with a huge P.I.T.A. rookie pitcher first--and is struggling with significant concerns about his older brother's health. He's been estranged from his father and lost his then-fiancee when he chose to leave the Navy to give Joey a kidney, so he's doubly motivated to make it big and prove himself. Enter the fake (if you ask Donna, because she's determined to marry for love) or not-so-fake (Mike's POV, because he's never going to fall in love again, so why the heck not? He really likes both Donna and Zack, so it can work, right?) engagement, which soon turns into a big baseball wedding and media circus. Surely nothing can go wrong with this, right? ;) I have to admit I wondered what was up with the odd suggestions Donna's lawyer was giving her throughout much of the book--they just didn't seem to make much sense. I was relieved to find out the reason why. Ms. Bernard pulled all the strings together in the end to give us a highly satisfying and believable ending, which she absolutely owed to us because oh my gosh, so much drama before that point! She had me all over the place on this one--laughing, tearing up, fanning myself...phew! Fortunately I had a slow morning at work today, because I was good for absolutely nothing until I saw Mike and Donna get their HEA. Which they did. And it was awesome. :) Rating: 4 stars / A- I received a complimentary copy in exchange for an honest review.

Donna MacIntyre is well known for walking on the wild side and living life on her terms without any regard for what others think of her...that is until her lawyer tells her that it's time for her to put a damper on her wild ways. Her well-to-do ex has decided to fight her for sole custody of their son, and her only hope of having a chance to keep her son is to start walking the straight and narrow, and prove that she can be the responsible mother/adult that her son needs. For the first time in her life she actually has to worry about what others think of her, and live her life according to their terms, which doesn't set well with the gutsy redhead, but she has no other choice... or does she? After sharing a heated kiss with a beautiful redhead in a library closet, Mike Solo knows he has met his match. She is gutsy, tempting as hell and has him considering the breaking his on season vow of celibacy. But after returning to town, the spicy redhead he left behind has turned herself into a dowdy over dressed secretary, and has Mike more confused than ever. When he approaches her full well expecting to pick up where they left off, she turns tale and flees in the other direction, for fear of damaging her new squeaky clean schoolmarm image. When Mike learns she her new image and newly found responsible lifestyle is her only plan for getting her son back, Mike decides he has a better plan... marriage! This was my first experience with Ms. Bernard's work, and I have to say that it left a very good first impression, so much so, I plan to make a return visit to the series very soon! Mike and Donna's touching and funny story captured my attention right from the start and held on tight through their little journey to find their happy ending. If you enjoy small town romance, with hunky baseball players, then this is DEFINITELY the series for you, it is sure to leave you with a happy heart and blushing smile too!! This was my first time reading one of Ms. Bernard's books and it will not be the last. It's a fun, steamy story with very likable characters. Well written and captivating, I found myself saying, "Just one more chapter." Donna is spunky and sassy but also a bit impulsive. Mike is more practical but cocky. Their chemistry is hot and the banter is very enjoyable. I highly recommend this one! ARC received from HarperCollins via Edelweiss in exchange for an honest review.

When funny, sassy redheaded Kilby, Texas spitfire Donna McIntyre met gorgeous, superhero-complex Italian Chicago-Southside boy Mike Solo in Jennifer Bernard’s “All of Me,” you knew these two were meant to be together. And in Caught by You, the flint strikes stone to create sparks between these two that just burn out of control! Donna is desperately trying to regain full custody of her adorable mini-me son, Zack, donning shapeless blue suits as a dental receptionist and lying low. Falling for the handsome Kilby Catfish catcher Mike is not part of the “get-Zack” plan. Mike is worried about his ailing older brother, Joey, the dynamics on the team with the addition of the media-hungry super jerk rookie pitcher Yazmer Perez, and his still-unresolved feelings for his “good italian girl” ex-fiance Angela; falling for Donna is not on his agenda. Yet somehow these two wind up in an “engagement of convenience” designed to help Donna’s image before the Judge in her custody case. Laughter, tears, jokes and deep grief somehow weave together, under Ms. Bernard’s masterful pen, to unite in a wonderful story of love and forgiveness. As much as I loved Sadie and Caleb in All of Me, Donna and Mike have become my new favorites. Rare is it for me to fall so completely under the spell of both the hero and heroine in a book - somehow I always like one more than the other by varying degrees. Not here - Donna and Mike are just so perfectly flawed and wonderful I just loved them both. And those villainous Wades - who we all love to hate - get their “airtime” here, with the satisfying comeuppance at the end. This book is another “grand slam” read by Jennifer Bernard; I cannot wait to visit Kilby again soon!! I received an ARC of this book for an honest review.

Caught by You by Jennifer Bernard was a homerun for me. I am such a Baseball fan and this book actually play ball, which is a win for me. This story has everything I look for in a great book romance, love, secrets, crying, smiling, sex and perfect likeable characters. Mike Solo a catcher on the Kilby Catfish is very hot...oh my!! Donna MacIntyre is beautiful fun and sexy and these two have great chemistry they burn the pages up. Will they be able to make it work through all the obstacles and make a relationship work. If you love baseball romance like I do, you will not want to miss this book or the series. Jennifer Bernard know how to write a well balanced book that keeps you turning pages and wanting more. She is fast becoming one of my favorite go to authors. I was given an ARC of this wonderful book, for my honest review.

Caught by You, by Jennifer Bernard, is the second book in her Love Between the Bases series. The hero is Mike Solo, the catcher for the Kilby Catfish, a triple A baseball team. The heroine is Donna MacIntyre who is battling her ex-boyfriend, Harvey, and his fiancé, Bonita, for custody for her son. We met Mike and Donna in Ms. Bernard’s first book, All of Me where these two also met and flirted, at the Roadhouse bar in Kilby, Texas. Donna will do anything to gain full custody of her son, Zach including changing jobs, the way she dresses and acts. Due to complications from her pregnancy, Zach was placed with Harvey’s parents and Donna had visitation rights. Enter Bonita who decided she wanted Zach to be with her and Harvey. Bonita uses the Wade influence to stack the trial against Donna. Enter Mike Solo who only has eyes for Donna. Mike takes a vow of celibacy each season which interferes with his pursuit of Donna. After hearing Donna’s story, he decides to be the hero and help her to gain custody. It didn’t hurt that he became involved after a picture of him kissing Donna was taken by Bonita after stalking them to get evidence of Donna not being competent. Mike decided that they needed to get engaged in order to help her case. Donna already had a crush on Mike, so this engagement could make her vulnerable. Mike swore he would never fall in love after an ill-fated relationship with his childhood sweetheart. This engagement actually becomes more than just doing the right thing. Mike has discovered a passion that focuses all of his emotions into play and a woman he would go to bat for again and again. I loved the way Ms. Bernard brought humor and sexy into this story. She also allowed for the growth of the relationship between these two characters as well as learning how to express their emotions and feelings for each other. I also appreciated Mike’s attempt to help Donna out of this difficult situation. He was instrumental in getting a new trial for Donna, bringing in character witness as well as all of the people who love and support Donna in her fight for Zach. I highly recommend this boo, and all others written by Jennifer Bernard to all readers and I cannot wait for the next story in this series. I received an ARC in exchange for a fair and honest review.

CAUGHT BY YOU is the latest in Jennifer Bernard’s new series about the Kilby Catfish minor league baseball team and it’s one of her best yet. Set in the fictional town of Kilby, Texas, there’s romance, intrigue, dysfunction, and lots of fun. Our hero, Mike Solo, is a drool-worthy hunk guaranteed to make any woman fall at his feet. His pick is Donna, a wise-cracking wild woman with a secret and only Mike can help. There’s family dramas and some sadness, making the entire story real and warm. Even if you don’t like baseball, you’ll love CAUGHT BY YOU for its values and you’ll be rooting for a happy ever after.

The perfect way to warm you up on these cold winter days, baseball and Mike and Donna. Mike is the catcher of Kilby Catfish baseball team, who takes on the vow of celibacy at the beginning of each season until he runs into bad girl, trying to become the good girl, Donna. The chemistry is hot between these two. Trying to help Donna out with a child custody . he decides to fake an engagement with Donna, but things things do turn out the way they had planned, other than they have great sex! You will be laughing out loud at times and have happy tears as you read this story. This is the second story in Love Between the Bases, can be read as a stand alone. I can't wait to see who we read in the next Kilby Catfish book. I received this book from the Edelweiss for a honest review.

"Caught by You" is written by Jennifer Bernard, and it is the 2nd book in her Love Between the Bases series. It can be read as a stand-alone book. It features Mike Solo and Donna MacIntyre. From the get-go, readers will see the attraction and chemistry between Mike and Donna. They were insanely hot. But an incident occurred the previous summer, which stopped Mike and Donna from taking their relationship further. Fast forward to the new baseball season, Mike is back as the catcher for Kilby Catfish. He once again takes his vow of celibacy for the season, but he might change his mind when he sees Donna. She's different than the last time. New clothes, new job. It throws him off guard. Then, he finds out she has a son. Without giving too much away since this book hasn't been released yet, I really enjoyed Mike and Donna. They were hot, and it was great to see how supportive they were for one another throughout this story. They needed each other, and fell in love. Jennifer Bernard told a wonderful story! "Caught by You" is definitely a winner!

A fun sexy read that will leave you with one word....More!! These Kilby Catfish players have a way of catching your eye and grabbing your heart and Mike Solo definitely does that. He certainly caught Donna McIntyre's eye but he's a complication she can't afford right now. In the fight of her life to get her son back, every step she takes has to be precise and planned. No way does Mike fit into her plan. Too bad he's not willing to accept that and calls for her inner bad girl to come out and play every chance he gets. The cost is too high though. You definitely want to read this wonderfully written story. I highly recommend it.
