Welcome to your journey on becoming a Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification (CMMC) Certified Professional. This student workbook is supplemental to the CyberDI Certified CMMC Professional (CCP) Handbook.

Workbook Overview
This workbook provides templates and spaces for all of your tasks throughout the CyberDI Certified CMMC Professional (CCP) Handbook course. Each module has one specific participating task to demonstrate your learning. The purpose is to promote active learning while engaging with the content and long term retention through application activities. The majority of tasks are organized as:
  • Participating Task
  • Participating Task Rubric
Corresponding with Textbook
As you read through each of the tasks, you will be directed to pages within your textbook to review the content necessary to complete each task. Having access to your textbook content while completing each task will be crucial to engage with the new content and complete the tasks with fidelity.

We set out to design a CMMC course built upon principles of cognitive science and universal design for learning. This CyberDI course - designed by faculty of the Computer Science Department and the College of Education at Southern Connecticut State University - began with pragmatic iterative design.

We utilized a Community of Inquiry Model and used the 25 Principles of Cognitive Science in the online classroom to inform our backwards design process. The book begins with a focus on options for different learners to interact with our materials.
