Charmed Spirits by Carrie Ann Ryan

Jordan Cross has returned to Holiday, Montana after eleven long years to clear out her late aunt's house, put it on the market, and figure out what she wants to do with the rest of her life. Soon, she finds herself facing the town that turned its back on her because she was different. Because being labeled a witch in a small town didn't earn her many friends...especially when it wasn't a lie.

Matt Cooper has lived in Holiday his whole life. He's perfectly content being a bachelor alongside his four single brothers in a very small town. After all, the only woman he'd ever loved ran out on him without a goodbye. But now Jordan's back and just as bewitching as ever. Can they rekindle their romance with a town set against them?

Warning: Contains an intelligent, sexy witch with an attitude and drop-dead gorgeous man who likes to work with his hands, holds a secret that might scare someone, and really, really, likes table tops for certain activities. Enough said.

for all you paranormal and romance readers out there, this is one book you don't want to pass up. jordan comes back home with one thing on her mind that is to pack up and sell her grandmother's house, she is ready to leave again as soon as possible, but little does she know that the love she left behind still is there waiting for her, what to do next? i can wait for the next one to come out.

Another great book by Carrie Ann Ryan.

I've read all of Ms. Ryan's books and each one is better than the last. Jordan & Matt are a lovely match and it's fun to watch their relationship develop. My one and only issue - areas where law enforcement and politics are involved don't come across as realistic. A little more research applied in these areas would make the story more plausible. I'll definitely keep reading all of the author's works and continue to watch her writing talents grow. Super hot love scenes and how much the characters care for each other comes across loud and clear. I look forward to finding out what happens to all the Cooper brothers!

I love other series by this author so I tried this new series. Carrie Ann Ryan created a quaint town filled with real women, not those stick fake kind , one with curves, flaws, and hurt. Mixed them with the Cooper Brothers and its a recipe for a great new series. Wish I could go to Holiday...

Title: Charmed Spirits (Holiday Montana Book 1) Author: Carrie Ann Ryan Publisher: Faded Desires Publishing LLC Published: 9-23-2012 ISBN-10: 1623220092 ISBN-13: 978-1623220099 E-Book ASIN: B009G7H5YC Pages: 228 Genre: Romance Tags: Paranormal, Ghost, Witches Welcome to Holiday, Montana. The place where the holiday spirit is a spirit and being called a witch is not just an insult. If your Jordan Cross being a witch could cost you your life. Which is why she left town years earlier. The only reason she returned now was to clean up her grandmother's house to clean it up from the vandalism of small minded townspeople and put it on the market to sell it quick. Then she is going to shake off the dust of Holiday and never look back again. Then she runs into Matt Cooper, her high school boyfriend and the love of her life. The lines of flight or stay begin to blur. Stacey Prescott and her brother, , the mayor begin to stir up trouble and resentment against Jordan. The end will make you gasp, as will the fast paced events in the story itself. You will not want to miss the first installment of Carrie Ann Ryan's Series Holiday Montana. I am looking forward to reading book 2, Santa's Executive. Even the blurb makes me itch to begin. Stop on by Holiday, Montana today and meet the Cooper boys and some of the interesting people who make up the town. Like most small towns, there are good and bad. Luckily the good out number the bad.

Originally reviewed for Cocktails and Books “Jordan Cross might be a witch, but she wasn’t a pointy-hat-wearing, card carrying member of the green-skinned race.” I loved that line. It gives you a look at the heroine underneath the insecure young woman. This is the same woman who, with a little more self-confidence, will eventually snub her nose at the residents of Holiday, Montana and their hateful attitude. Although, in my opinion, Jordan's self-confidence seems a long time in coming. Jordan seems more willing to stand up for her new friends than she is to stand up for herself. Which is why I found Halloween so funny. I have to admit to getting a kick out of her dressing up as a “pointy-hat-wearing, card carrying member”, minus the green skin, of the witch race for Halloween. That’s the kind of spunk I expected from a heroine that has a bunch of hunks like the Cooper brothers in her corner. And Lord what a bunch of hunks they are. Although short on the descriptive details on any of the Cooper brothers other than Matt, each brother’s personality shines through in every appearance. From the strong silent Jackson to ladies man Tyler; I can’t wait to meet the women who deserve nabbing herself a Cooper. However, I digress. This is Matt and Jordan’s story. And what a story it is. It’s the story of first love and how it never really goes away. Fear drove Jordan away and tragedy brought her back. Now it’s up to Matt to remind her how good they were together and try to convince her to stay. I absolutely loved how sweet they were and how Matt rekindled what they had by doing little things. They didn’t just jump into a physical relationship. They became friends again. Went out on dates... held hands... had hot make-out sessions on the couch, like they did as teenagers when they first fell in love. What woman wouldn’t want to be romanced in the sweetest of ways? The fact of the matter is that it’s all about the spark. Characters either have it or they don’t. In this case, they definitely do.

Excellent start to a series, whitey, fun, sweet, sexy and emotional second chance romance in a small town with childhood sweethearts. Loved every emotional twist and turn. Looking forward to my next visit to Holiday, Montana. Jordan Cross is a head strong, sassy, sexy and born witch that has been away from home for over 11 years and has been hiding from her magic just as long. Matt Cooper is a sweet, sexy, hot carpenter, alpha male (one of the many sexy Cooper brothers) and they boy she left behind the night she ran out her her small hometown with out saying goodby or looking back. Loved all the interesting twits in this awesome small town family filled adventure.

Charmed Spirits is Book 1 in Carrie Ann Ryan's Holiday, Montana series. This is fun series as each of the Cooper Brothers comes face to face with not only the love of their life but their supernatural "destiny" as well. This story centered around Jordan and Matt. Jordan returns to settle her grandmother's estate only to learn that Matt is behind the haunting of the old Marlow place. Very enjoyable story with an interesting plot. I loved watching Jordan and Matt reconnect after all their years apart and the "villians" finally get their comeuppance.

This is the start of the Holiday, Montana series and I absolutely loved it! Jordan Cross is returning to town to take care of her aunt's things after she passes. She left because the town treated her horribly. She had few friends but she did leave behind a boy she loved. Matt Cooper is the boy she left behind. He never understood why she left or what happened. But he has his own secrets now. And his own issues. I loved Jordan and Matt. I thought they were really great together and I really loved how his family always stands behind not only him but the people they have decided are their family too. This whole book sucked me in and I couldn't put it down! It wasn't just because of the sweet, romantic part of it but also because there was my paranormal thrown in there too! Great book to start a great series!

Magic happens.  Jordan has been away from Holiday, Montana the town she grew up in.  She left behind small minds and the boy she loved.  She is a witch and all she ever wanted to be was normal.  She was never going to be normal there.  Matt was the boy she left behind.  The youngest of five brothers Matt is a carpenter and owner of the local hardware store.  He has never forgotten Jordan as he believes she is responsible for his becoming a ghost for five nights of the month.  Charmed Spirits is a fun tale that brings Matt and Jordan back together.
