It's hard to compete with the unadulterated poetry of a line like, "I did it all for the nookie, so you can take that cookie and stick it up your yeah!" from the multi-platinum album Significant Other. But Limp Bizkit thrive under pressure and relish the chance to challenge -- or at least piss off -- both fans and critics. The band's third disc, Chocolate Starfish and the Hotdog Flavored Water, quickly bursts into confrontational mode on "Hot Dog," with vocalist Fred Durst saying the "F" word more than 30 times before taking a dig at Trent Reznor. From there, Durst attacks shit-talkers, backstabbers, unfaithful women, and journalists. Even the album title sounds like a snide satire of a pompous album title like Smashing Pumpkins' Mellon Collie and the Infinite Sadness. Durst's lyrical tirades are so fierce they threaten to obscure the music, which is pretty funkin' phat. Like Significant Other, this album is rooted in groove-laden rap-metal, but this time around the Bizkit downplay distorted bombast, focusing more on Wes Borland's galactic guitar squiggles, John Otto's hip-hop beats, and DJ Lethal's creative scratching. The caustic tracks "Rollin' (Air Raid Vehicle)" and "Rollin' (Urban Assault Vehicle)" are bolstered by guest raps by DMX, Method Man, and Redman, and "Getcha Groove On" benefits from an appearance by Xzibit. But it's creative cuts such as "Livin' It Up" (which samples the Eagles' "Life in the Fast Lane") and "Hold On" (which includes some unexpected CSNY-style vocal harmonies) that make The Hot Dog Flavored Water truly tasty.

First cd that I couldn't say has a best song. All the Songs kick. I bought this cd the second the store opened. My cd player has been playing non-stop Bizkit ever since I bought this cd. In fact I am listening to it right now. I have ran out of batteries four times since I bought the cd.(Two days ago!) If you buy this cd, it won't leave your cd FOREVER!

Limp Bizkit is awesome! I am one of the many people who limp with da Bizkit! Hot dog, which has 48 curses (I counted), My generation which Fred Durst expresses his seriousness over his generation, full nelson when he gets tired of when someone talks behind his back, and all the other songs especially my way and rolling which are da bomb! In track 15, Ben Stiller even likes it! If Ben Stiller likes it, ya better like it! The money is worth it if ya family can't get on napster, cause napster sux after taking off the copyrighted songs, so go on this site and get Chocolate Starfish and the Hot Dog flavored water! That name is so cool!Plus ya all will like the cover, it's fat! So keep rolling, rolling on and get this album today! Ya won't regret it!

i think that the song ;my generation is a hiped up song that makes me want to go out and BMX with my friends and create may hem i also like the song RoLlIn. the song has hard beats and i can brake to it. ineed to do sompthing crazy every time i hear a LiMp BiZkIT song. This basically guts the record, especially ''Hot Dog'' where ''f*****-up'' is used upwards of 50 times, but parents should be reassured that there's this option on the market. But they should consider this -- not one profanity is used sexually, it's all an expression of rage or slang. After a while, the cursing isn't even noticeable, since it's so consistant it winds up signifying nothing. thanx rm

Limp Bizkit, a band of many sounds and mixes. There really wasn't a band that had a mixture of R&B and alternative rock before Limp Bizkit. The music of Limp Bizkit attracts many young teens today. Even though many ''rockers'' today don't consider Limp Bizkit as a rock band, that doesn't mean that they aren't. They are just as much rock as Korn and Linkin Park. I am giving Limp Bizkit's album 5 stars because of the music. Yes, the title of the CD may not be all that good, but that doesn't affect the music on the CD. Limp Bizkit gets a lot of bad reviews for their lyrics on the album simply because Fred Durst speaks his mind and the truth about life. Personally, I think that there is nothing wrong with that because it gives people a different view on how other people see life. I would recommend this album to anyone who wants to listen to it and is interested in this kind of music.

They've come a long way. But Rollin is a song that seems to have been put together in a matter of minutes. The beat is catchy, wes plays great as usual. But don't expect a lot out of this record folks.

Limp Bizkit is probably one of the worst bands ever, and either this or their newest one could rate as worst album. None of the band members have any talent whatsoever, everything just revolves around their pathetic, sellout white rapper wannabe frontman. It's truly hard to believe how low metal has sunk in a single generation.

Limp's third CD ''Chocolate Starfish and the Hot Dog Flavored Water'' is a very good cd, but not an awesome one. The two singles Rollin and My Generation are by far the best songs on the cd. The rest are just average. So I say if your a Limp fan, go get this one, but if you just like the two singles then you should probably pass.

This CD kicks major butt! This Cd is compiled with awesome guest appearences by DMX and others and should be a CD remembered for a long time. Although ''Significant Other'' was their only other major smash, Limp Bizkit should keep kicking butt in the music industry.

Durst has once again proven that he and the rest of Limp Bizkit don't plan to fade away yet. Many thought after ''Signifigant Other'' that Bizkit would fade away for awhile yet ''Chocolate Starfish and the Hot Dog Water'' proves that these guys are here to stay!

I truley Love Limp Bizkit, however I think that this title is O.K. I'm sure they could've came up with better names thopugh, it's just that it seems way too juvenile, like the title of some punk band, or something. To me, it just doesn't sound like Limp Bizkit.

the cd may not have been released yet but the songs that have been released from it rock! LIMP BIZKIT is da bomb. ive loved them from day one i am the true one and only #1 Limp fan...they are the bomb!!! and Fred Durst is the most beautiful man on earth!!!

My review for this CD is that I give it 4 stars. I give it 4 stars because It has a great sound. I especially love the song Livin it up. also the main track Hot Dog. The content on the non-edited CD is only good for people ages 13 on up. otherwise, it is not appropriate. The Clean version is ok for ages 10 on up. I give it only 4 stars because some of the songs have the same sort of beat, and sound somewhat the same. otherwise it is a great CD.
