Chronicles of Saint Nikolaus: Rowan and the Dreadful Kidnapping
Rowan, a wood elf of Cissbury Ring, has never met a human being. She has never taught a reindeer to fly, or flown the skies with a witch, or ridden the Firedog Transport deep within Earth's crusty mantle.
But all that (and more!) is about to change as Rowan finds herself entangled in the adventure of a lifetime. She embarks on a daring rescue mission deep within the breathtaking Arctic Night filled with thousands of stars, nebulae, shimmering Aurora, and ... talking constellations!
It seems the nine famous reindeer have been kidnapped from their posh North Pole stables. Who would commit such a dastardly crime? That's what the good villagers of the Saints Village want to know. And the answer better come quick for it is only a few days until the magical Eve when the reindeer must fly around the world.
Aided by an authentic faerie Godmother and two Texas dwarves, Rowan must make the hardest decision of her life. Can she depend upon a mortal boy and his bear to help solve the most scandalous kidnapping ever to happen at the North Pole?

About the Author

NIKKI SIMPSON
(a/k/a Nancy Simpson Levene)

"When my daughter turned seven years old, I began to write my first book," reports Nikki Simpson. "She was an avid reader and went through books faster than I could supply them. So I decided to write a children's book series to keep both of us busy."

And so began the Alex Series in 1986, comprising twelve chapter books, and a devotional for girls. She also wrote a fiction series for boys called the TJ series. These two children book series continued through 1994 for a total of 19 children's books. Simpson also authored a nonfiction work, "Face to Face with Women of the Bible" published in 1996.

Now Nikki is re-entering the world of writing with her first ever fantasy fiction book for middle-grade readers entitled "The Chronicles of Saint Nikolaus: Rowan and the Inuit" (Book One). The book features original illustrations by author/artist, Mary Martin. It is scheduled to be published in the fall of 2014

Also scheduled for publication 2014 is Nikki's first re-write of the Alex series. "Mushi Sushi Soccer Shoe," book one of the NEW "Alex Adventures" series.

A graduate of Truett Seminary at Baylor University, Nikki is also a dance teacher in the Dallas/Fort Worth area. "Writing, dancing, and teaching are all gifts for which I am most grateful," says Nikki. "I've found I can teach most anything."

That must be true for along with humor, drama, and a compelling plot, each of Nikki's books subtly imparts valuable life-lessons to young readers, such as honesty, forgiveness, unselfishness, loyalty, friendship, trustworthiness, compassion, and more.
