Overview

Claimed by Her Mates (Interstellar Brides Series #3) by Grace Goodwin

Desperate to escape a powerful man set on making an example of her for daring to defy him, Leah's only option is to volunteer for the Interstellar Bride Program. She is assigned to the planet Viken, but upon her arrival she is shocked to discover that she has been matched to not one huge, handsome warrior, but three of them.

Drogan, Tor, and Lev were born as identical triplets to the royal family of Viken, but they were separated at birth in a last ditch effort to prevent a catastrophic war. In the years since a fragile peace has held, but now a terrible threat from deep space is growing more pressing by the day and there is only one way for the three brothers to save their people. They must take a mate and produce a sole heir to the throne as soon as possible.

Though being shared by three men is far from what she expected when she left Earth, Leah cannot hide her intense arousal as the brothers begin to teach her what it means to be mastered by warriors of Viken. It isn't long before her hesitance to fully submit to her dominant husbands earns Leah a sound spanking on her bare bottom, yet even that shameful chastisement merely increases her desire for them. With her own future and that of the planet at stake, will she stubbornly resist her body's demands, or will she surrender herself to be claimed by her mates?

Publisher's Note: Claimed by Her Mates is a stand-alone book set in the same world as Assigned a Mate and Mated to the Warriors. It is an erotic romance novel that includes spankings, sexual scenes, elements of BDSM, and more. If such material offends you, please don't buy this book.

I have given all the previous books in this series high ratings and excellent reviews. I found this book to be long on sex and very short on plot. As I know Ms Goodwin is quite capable of wonderful storytelling, I was very disappointed to discover that this book was basically just porn. Quick, easy money that any author can write. Not to mention that this book is very short. I was going to give up on this series but the blurb for the next book does sound promising. I'll let you know in my review for it if it was money well spent. cjbevil

It was 104 pages, to me a bit over priced for such a short story. I did like the story, but would have enjoyed more it if it had been a little longer with more into the characters/story line. It was steamy, had action, and the chemistry between characters were good.****

I disagree with a couple of previous reviews about it being just porn, no story. I felt the connection and love from each of the men. There was a lot of plot and story determining why things were done that way. I will say the "seed power" thing was a little to much like a drug, but they all enjoyed it in this fantasy. If you like the series, don't miss this one.

3 1/2*** This is a work of pure fantasy in that there isn't a whole lot of Story/ World building beyond what is going on with the main character's relationship building. Which is quick paced due to the urgency of the planets political situation. The main female character is left out of many of the informational discussions and told trust her mates to handle the situation. Sure, they prepare her body before she leaves planet, but they don't prepare her mind For the culture, responsibilities and duties she is required to accomplish once she gets there. I have a problem with that. Why doesn't she ask more questions before she leaves? Most of all, why don't the Center's staff offer her better information so that she can make an informed decision about how and where she will be spending the rest of her life? That's just negligent, unless they incoded the information for upload to her brain while she was being processed/genetically altered? This is not mentioned in the story. And there is no evidence to support this . All these deyails are part of world-building and without them, this seems more like a porno script rather than a romance Story. Maybe the lack of worldly details is remedied and the next book set on this planet? I hope. Good character interaction, good premise, but it could be so much more.

It was pretty good. The only problem was it seemed a little short. I think its worth the money.

I enjoyed reading about Leah, Drogan, Tor, and Lev's burgeoning romance. Although Leah was initially quite shocked to be paired with three mates, the mating system fairly accurately matched her subconscious desires. The men were identical and although they were all dominant, they had different personalities and preferences. We heard each person's point of view which helped to immerse the reader in the often intense action. There was romance, lust, suspense, villains, fight scenes, betrayal and a happy ever after - all very fast paced and very enjoyable. I received this book from Stormy Night Publications as an advance review copy."
