Clark was a "Bull" shark and lived in Miami Beach, Florida and loved to surf.

He also was known as a "bully" of the coral reef and had no friends.

He would chase all the other marine animals and steal their food. One day, he was chasing "Myrtle The Turtle"

And followed her through a hole in the coral.

Clark was so big and fat, he got stuck in the hole.

Because he had no friends, no one wanted to help him. He showed his big, sharp teeth and threatened everyone that he would eat them when he got out. He begged and even cried for someone to help him, but everyone swam away.

"Bullying" is a great subject for our children today. Clark the Shark was beautifully illustrated and each illustration corresponds with the text on the opposite page,so when I read the text,my child looks at the illustrations and not only learns by listening, but by looking at the illustrations. My five year old loves to say "Clark the Shark"and "Myrtle the Turtle" because they rhyme. I would highly recommend this book for any parent to buy for their young child.

This greatly illustrated and well written book was fun for me (grandma) to read to 5 yr old!  I learned also that a Bully was in his new class. By reading this book to him it opened up this VERY big topic. I will buy this book for my friends children so their children can be aware of  how to and how not to act in class or neighborhood.
