Dr. Joy K Alston was born and raised in High Point, NC to Carl L. Alston, Sr and Pearlie F. Alston. She obtained her Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. In November 2017 Dr. Joy K Alston received her Honorary Doctorate in Community Development from the LADC Institute.

Dr. Joy K. Alston is the founder of the Kimyon's International Hair Care Products Line. This phenomenal woman established in 2016, a 12 product bio-mineral hair care line that includes shampoos, conditioners, and styling products for all hair types and ethnicities.

Kimyon's International has currently shipped to over 4 countries this year alone. The brand has been featured in two national magazines and a documentary The film: The Black Friday 2: The Living Legacy World Tour.

Dr. Joy K Alston is passionate about helping others discover their purpose in order to live a happy and fulfilled life. Through Motivational Speaking, Entrepreneurship, and Community Development, she plans to change the world one person at a time.
