Cold-Case Christianity for Kids is an engrossing read that shows kids steps for being a good detective. There are two cases that are worked out: one is a fictional case about a mysterious skateboard and the second is the case that has to do with Jesus and if he was real. There was some scripture, but the author/detective backed up the existence of Jesus with historical fact while giving assignments and tips throughout the chapters. At the end of each chapter you received a “tool” for your detective bag. My 11 year old son read this book and enjoyed it very much. He especially liked the funny illustrations, he liked the engaging way the author made the detective work relevant to him, and the scripture verses the author used. My son read this book quickly and when he discovered something new he shared his revelations with me. I think this book is an engaging tool to get kids thinking about the truths of Christ and His existence here on earth. I recommend this book for homeschoolers, youth ministries, or just leisure reading. There is also a free “Cadet Academy” available online. I received a copy of this book for free. A favorable review was not required and all views expressed are my own.

This is a fascinating book for any kids in your life. The way it takes scripture and a story and makes kids want to know more about Christ and how to know him really impressed me. I think my kids will like this as well. I was very impressed by the writing and all of the ways this points to Christ and the scriptures. I really like how it makes kids think about Christ and their salvation and also helps them to know what they believe and why. I am very much looking forward to finishing this book with my kids and digging deeper into their faith as well as mine. I enjoyed the cover of the book as well as the pictures and other graphics in the book. I am so impressed with this book and I will now be purchasing the adult version to read as well. I received this book from Litfuse publicity book for free. A positive review was not required.

Cold Case Christianity is written as an adventure for tweens. The youngsters are going to be part of a police academy and through the program learn whether Christianity makes sense. Cold Case Christianity has great illustrations that support the story, and the story does a great job of making apologetics approachable for younger kids. I've read it to all four of mine (6 to 16) and they've enjoyed it. There is also a great website that supports the book with downloadable activity sheets for each chapter as well as short videos. The videos are fantastic and should be watched before reading the chapter. This book would be great for homeschoolers, Sunday school classes, and other settings where young people will gather to learn about their faith.

Great Interactive Way for Kids to Discover TRUTH I am so excited about this book. It's a fun style devotional study book for kids to investigate the truth about Jesus and Christianity. Written in an exciting mystery solving format, using three main characters -on of which includes the reader, the author draws the reader in by participation. In the book, the kids sign up for a detective class at the local police department. As they learn techniques to become a great detective, they also uncover a mystery to solve. After one of them finds an old skateboard in the school shed, they need to determine - who it belongs to and how it got there? As they work through the case, they simultaneously uncover clues pertaining to Jesus. They have to investigate, examine, compare and decide if the story of Jesus is simply a myth or reality. In each chapter the kids have two cases to work on - Jesus and the skateboard mystery. There are 8 chapters to work through, fill in sheets in the back and a website they can use if parents permit. At the end there's a certificate of promotion. Kids will have to use their minds and the Bible to solve this one, and in the process grow their faith. There are lots of Scriptures to read and look up. I think this book is great for both believers and unbelievers. The unbelievers will be drawn into figuring out whether Jesus was real or not, and the believer will learn to defend their faith. Most tweens will enjoy this devotional. Teens may possibly enjoy it also if they are interested in learning more about Christianity in a simplified manner. I received a free copy of this book from Litfuse to review. I was not required to write a positive review and all opinions are my own.

What a great little book for children between the ages of 8 and 12, and anyone who likes a little mystery. “Detective Wallace gets kids excited about testing witnesses, examining the evidence, and investigating the case for Christianity.” How Fun, actually for everyone, as you use this as a teaching tool, and there is another great tool to use along with this book, http://www.coldcasechristianityforkid.... First we need to joint the academy, and then we need this neat book to follow and read along. Introduction: Wanted A Few Good Detectives Chapter One: Don’t be a “Know It All” Chapter Two: Learn How to Infer Chapter Three: Think Circumstantially Chapter Four: Test You Witnesses Chapter Five: Respect The Chains Of Custody Chapter Six: Hang On To Every Word Chapter Seven: Separate Artifacts from Evidence Chapter Eight: Resist Conspiracy Theories Postscript: Belief That or Belief In A book and website to inspire you and your children to seek out the truth, they are about to enter the Detective Cadet Academy, and about to be trained up, and learn how to investigate the case for Jesus. What an exciting and Christian challenge for these young people, or for you for that matter. I received this book through Lit Fuse Publicity Book Tours, and was not required to give a positive review.

This book received resounding applause and huge thumbs up! I wish I had this book when our 16 year old grandson was younger! Just the title gets the young reader interested! There are a lot of illustrations one on every page! And they are great! It reads a little like a comic book in that there are so many illustrations. I liked the Detective Definitions in the boxes on the margins. The definitions contained great resources. The CSI Assignments made the book interactive with activities leading the reader to additional scripture and causing him/her to think about they are reading and learning. I did feel though that an additional journal or work book might be effective. Although I think the Definitions, CSI Assignments and The Detective Bag are great additions I felt the printing was too small. There are questions and the area where the reader is to write is way too small for a young reader to fill in the blanks. There are down loadable questions available but I would be more interested in a printed journal or workbook. At the end of the book is a certificate of achievement. I thought this was great. My 8 year old grandson will love receiving the certificate! This was an excellent book that I recommend for everyone from parents, homeschooling parents, and church leaders. I received a complimentary copy from Litfuse.
