Overview

Dr. Joe Fox's hometown Indian Springs, Colorado is once again confronted with danger brought on by GREED. Newlife Oil Company is convinced that there is a large oil reservoir under the Hooks' Ranch that is now in a trust for the county. The CEO, Steve MacCauley will do anything to get this oil. The control of the property is in the hands of the County Commissioners and Dr. Joe. Newlife's efforts to get approval is dangerous and malicious. Only Dr. Joe and his friends stand in the way of the Tomahawk Valley's devastation by the wealthy oil industry.

JJ Williams has lived in Colorado for forty years and loves the strong culture of the mountain people. He enjoys the outdoor lifestyle and finds peace in the raw beauty of the woods. JJ is also known as "Dr. Jim", because he practiced Family Medicine for forty-two years, until he retired in 2016. He and his wife have between them- five kids, five grandkids and a yellow lab. Recently, JJ built a writer's retreat in his back yard, which is a spruced-up Tuff Shed, named the Zen Den. He "goes to work" there and creates for several hours daily. JJ's passion for the strength of the human spirit, which he encountered in medical practice, is what drives his writing.
