Exceptionally moving with all the feels, Combust completely engulfs you with its originality and passionate storyline. This book is so much more than just a hot cover. It’s beyond emotional, tugging on the reader’s heartstrings, and matches the continuous heat that burns with desire and attraction. The story captures the reader’s attention from the very beginning. Grady and Dylan’s initial spark of chemistry grows until their connection explodes off the pages, immersing you further into their complex and unique relationship. Both characters have pasts, pasts that dictate their thoughts and actions that no one can honestly understand except each other. But both pasts prevent each other from truly living the second chance they were given. Their wounds run deep, and to see how Grady and Dylan found their healing in each other shows that real heroes don’t wear capes. K. Bromberg is a master at exceptionally written stories with a powerhouse of raw and relatable emotional situations. Combust conveys the hardships of choices made, heartbreaking loses, and love that is found in the least likely of circumstances. This book will singe your heart with its compelling, arousing, and touching love story. 5 Scorching Stars!

I’m completely and utterly blown away. This was one of those books you want to devour in one sitting, but savor every single word at the same time. It’s one of those stories that completely suck you in and you can’t catch a breath before you’ve reached The End. I knew this was going to be an emotional read from the very beginning, but boy, was I prepared for what hit me. There was so much heart and emotions put in this book that I felt every word like it burned itself into the very core of my soul. Everything was so immaculately written there were sentences and paragraphs I read and re-reread several times just to relish each feeling and experience the beauty behind it over and over. Grady Malone – the youngest of the three Malone brothers we met in Cuffed. He seemed like this hotshot – cocky, sexy and with a good sense of humor. And he was all that. But he had so much more of himself to offer to us. He was a firefighter, but it was the fire inside of him that he was trying to put out - his insecurities, his haunting past and the guilt he lived with every day. Afraid to face his fears, afraid to live to the fullest, afraid to open his heart and let someone in. But then came Dylan McCoy. She was this determined and defiant woman with a talent for music. She was confident in what she did for a living, but she had doubts about herself on a personal level. I saw so much of myself in her and her story hit so close to home for me on so many levels. I felt really connected with her character and loved her instantly. And although Grady and Dylan seemed like they had nothing in common, their connection was undeniable. Their love story started as a slow burning fire that was truly heartwarming but then some sparks ignited and everything exploded in one scorching hot mix of passion, lust and need. Their chemistry was indeed COMBUSTIBLE. Their attraction off the charts hot and soon with some fuel thrown into the mix their smoldering feelings grew into an inferno of desire and heart-melting love. And although this couple certainly turned up the heat in the bedroom, there was so much more to this story than that. There were moments which were excruciatingly painful to read and shattered my heart into a million pieces, but then it was sealed back together with the sincerity of their feelings and their openness to each other. Little by little they started to revealed layer after layer of themselves in front of each other. The question was whether this would be enough to push them to face their fears and rise? Or would they run away again? This was one truly poignant and beautiful book and I loved every single minute of it. The love story was front and center, but I enjoyed all the other little touches that made this the perfect package. The interactions between the whole Malone family. The connection and the relationship between the brothers, their closeness and support for each other, even when they were giving each other sh*it. The song lyrics – such a beautiful part of this story. The ending that was so intense and so action packed, I thought my heart was going to come out of my chest and I couldn’t turn the pages fast enough to see what was happening. I was a sobbing mess at some point, there was some serious nail-biting and cussing involved, but it was so worth it. And as in every other book by Kristy Bromberg there was a loud and clear message behind this story that seared itself into my mind and heart and would stay with me for a long time

Just when you think it can’t get any better Kristy Bromberg gives us another alpha hero to fall in love with, this time it’s the second Malone brothers story who also happens to be a hot fireman and let me tell you books don’t get much hotter than Combust. Grady is going through the motions of living, working and having a few hot nights with girls that don’t ask for more than a night. Grady is the kind of man that has so much to offer if only he could let go of the past that haunts him , the problem is it goes much deeper than the scars he covers so well. Dylan is in town to put some distance between her and her ex-boyfriend, she is talented and sassy but she lacks confidence and is always second guessing herself. These two may start as a slow burn but once the flames ignite there’s no stopping the heat and chemistry they share. Grady is a man you can’t help falling for and once he opens up he becomes the man you want to love, hug and protect and Dylan is just the right girl to take him on the next part of his journey. I love Grady and Dylan, I love them and I love the journey the author took us on as we watched then growing and opening up to each other. I really didn’t want this book to end and I have to say it will be a book I will revisit from time to time because this love story will never grow old. Brilliant addition to a great series can’t wait for the next Malone Man.

Combust was a real, authentic, gripping story. This was my first K. Bromberg novel and I loved every word of it. It's a story about two people with emotional and physical scars, both insecure for entirely different reasons and how they helped each other overcome them and become something more to each other. This was Grady and Dylan's story and I loved these two well-developed, yet extremely complex characters. The sexy fireman riddled with guilt and scars and the curvy songwriter emotionally scarred and recovering from a breakup. These two were different yet so alike and I loved watching them fall for each other. There was a host of secondary characters who all played an integral role in the story and added a wealth of sage advice to the couple. "You don't drown by falling into the pool, you drown by refusing to swim out of it." "FEAR - Face Everything And Rise" This story was emotional and intense at times and it will give you all the feels. This couple's insecurities were so real it made them very much relatable and likable. This was a fantastic read and I would highly recommend this page-turner to all romance lovers. I absolutely loved it. *I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this novel.*

“It’s okay to forget what hurt you, but just remember to never forget what it taught you.” There's books that come along that have me wrapped up to tightly in the story that I feel the pain and I feel the heartbreak. This was that book. Grady and Dylan both have scars, both have heartbreak and both needed each other more than they realized. I connected on so many levels with Dylan. While I may not be a songwriter, her personal issues hit me hard. The insecurities she has and the way she she's herself was like looking in a mirror. Alot of women who read this book will be able to identify with Dylan and her struggles. I definitely did and it made me cheer for her just that bit more to find that happiness we all deserve. Grady, oh Grady. While he is sinfully sexy and smooth talking on the outside, his pain was immense on the inside. He can't escape the memories of the past and it's keeping him from a future he so desperately wants. While I've never been in their shoes, being the family of a first responder must be nerve wracking. The Malones have a whole family of them so having his brothers and father there for him as support really is essential for Grady. But like Dylan, I wanted him to have that happiness he so deserved. And as they became roommates and their relationship slowly progressed, the happiness and love they brought out in each other was ... well it was everything.  "The weight of the world on his shoulders and a tiny piece of my heart in his pocket" I'll be rereading this book very soon, it's just one that sticks with you. An absolute 5 star read and favourite of the year.

OMG you think you know heatbreaking romance...not until you've read Combust! Grady is loved by all; ladies man, town hero, and buddy to all who know him. So when his friend's little sister needs a place to crash and escape from her life for a bit, he agrees. What he hadn't planned on was a siren with a smile to twist his head around and make his heart pound. I instantly fell in love with Grady's humor and flirting. He make be a hometown hero, but he's got aches in his heart that most don't see besides his brothers. But somehow sweet and sexy songwriter Dylan pries him out of his dark dreams and into a reality he can face. Bromberg truly made their story a slow burning desire. There's a spark between the two of them that ignites off the page the instant they meet. I was so adorably intrigued by them fumbling around their feelings for one another. Dylan's used to putting her life on hold for another man. And he escape from her ex leads her right in to the arms of a known Lothario. But she can't help the pull she constantly feels towards him. So what harm could come from some fun in-between the sheets? Turns out that Dylan bargained for more than just a frisky firefighter; she got the boy next door with a heart of gold who surprisingly needs saving of his own. Where ther's humor in Combust there is also a deeply important story of Grady and his past. Sometimes the lives of everyday heroes can lead to tragedy. And those left behind can either pick up the pieces or let them continue to fall apart. Grady seems to be stuck in the middle of his emotions. He can't run from his past, especially when it blazes in his face. But how can two people afraid to take the plunge in to true love overcome their fears? You'll have to read on your own to find out because I am not spoiling much else in my next 5 star read review!

Kristy Bromberg gave us a story full of emotion! One that is making it hard to write this review. Combust was just so good! The characters, the storyline, everything was perfection. Combust was a story of love and healing. It was so intense and packed with so much emotion! When Dylan and Grady meet, they are both hurting. Dylan is hurting from a bad relationship and self-esteem issues. Grady's insecurities stem from a tragedy in his past. One that leaves him to suffer silently. After her relationship ended terribly, she decides to escape from her life for a little while and Grady, her brother's friend, has an available room for Dylan to stay in. From the first moment they met, their connection was instantaneous! Little by little, they each chipped away at one another's insecurities and slowly they helped each other see that in order to heal, they needed to learn to love themselves. A surprise visit from Dylan's ex has these two acting the happy couple. However, the chemistry between Dylan and Grady was combustible! Once they had a taste, there was no going back. I love that Dylan is a normal, curvy girl with mermaid thighs (solidarity sister)! It made her character relatable. She is the type of person I would want to be friends with. And Grady fricking Malone...sigh! He is everything! Seriously, the way he treated Dylan is the way every woman should be treated. The way these two people pushed each other outside their comfort zones to help them see they needed to get out of their own way in order to really live. This book is a must read!!

Kristy Bromberg brings us book two of the Everyday Heroes Series. Grady Malone is a hot, sexy firefighter with 8 pack abs and a heart of gold. He is every woman’s wet dream. Two years ago he lost his best buddy and has been fighting his demons and the nightmares that haunt him ever since. Dylan is a sweet, feisty, hardworking, talented songwriter. She was betrayed by her ex-boyfriend and left him without looking back. She travels to Sunnyville to finish writing songs for the album she was contracted to do. Dylan needs a place to stay so her brother asks Grady to put her up for a couple of months. They are buddies and Grady is happy to do it. Grady works 24 hour shifts so they won’t be seeing much of each other, or will they? Dylan and Grady both have different demons they fight on a daily basis, but when they are together, the attraction is electric. Is Grady willing to let go of his baggage to see where it leads, or are they destined to stay in the “Friend Zone” forever. His father once told him “fear everything and run, or face everything and rise.” I loved this book. It pulls at your emotions as Dylan and Grady each fight their own set of fears and insecurities. I laughed at the interactions between the brothers, swooned as the dance began between Dylan and Grady, smiled as she comforted him when he opened up, and cried as Dylan fought through the guilt and loss while trying to come to terms with his emotions. This is such a well-rounded story that you can picture it unfolding in your mind page by page. Fall in love with Grady and Dylan's story. I just did.

Bromberg continues to grow and get better and better, I swear! I’ve read a lot of books from this author, but the interconnected standalones in her Everyday Heroes series have to be the best that she has produced. Based on the cover, I expected Combust to be another romance filled with some tension, a dash of sweetness, and some naughty times thrown in. What I was not prepared for was the meaningful relationship that would form between the hero and heroine, or the profoundness of the message that came with it. “Because love is rarely pretty. It’s messy. It’s complicated. It’s often ugly, but that’s how you know when it’s right. Pretty doesn’t always last. It’s the things you have to work at that make the reward that much sweeter.” Dylan and Grady’s slow-building relationship was one that I am sure to not forget anytime soon. Everything from the way that it began as fake, to the way that they built each other up, was absolute perfection. I loved that both Dylan and Grady were strong on their own and they endured their own hardships. However, in the moments that they held a mirror to the other, forcing the acknowledgement of insecurities, something blossomed both of those characters, and in my own heart. I saw myself in their scars and their thoughts, and could do nothing but root for their triumphs. I really think that readers will see pieces of themselves in these characters and find them incredibly relatable. Not to mention, the attraction that simmered between Dylan and Grady left butterflies in my stomach throughout the entire novel. When they denied it, things were great, but when they recognized it, there were fireworks. My only complaint is that I want more, more, more!! “The heart’s blind. It’s the head that causes all the trouble.” I swore that I wasn’t going to read anymore books with abs on the cover, but after reading the blurb, and with it being one of my favorite authors, I decided to give it a chance. Goodness gracious, great balls of fire – I’m SO glad that I did! Combust was such a pleasant surprise with its deep meaningful message and characters that I could relate to. I’m glad to see that even after years of writing, Bromberg continues to grow and finesse her talents. This book is by far the best novel she has written, and definitely sets the bar high for the last Malone brother!

Combust... this book fits the title. Grady meets Dylan and let’s just say I’m intrigued. I wasn’t sure what to expect when I first started. We go deep, emotionally there are some issues both characters are working through. You laugh, you feel and Not to disappoint the intensity between the sheets. Woah baby! Grady Malone can put out my fire ! No spoilers!!! Be ready for these two Great read!

THE FEELS! ALL THE FEELS! Kristy sure is the queen of creating broken heroes you just want to hug to make them feel better. And nope, I wouldn´t mind to hug a Malone in real life. ;) Both main characters have their insecures which makes me like Dylan a lot - ´cause I think all the women on earth who aren´t size zero ( like Iam ) can identify with Dylan in a lot ways. When start the book you think you´ll get the all alpha, super confident firefighter, but nope. You don´t get that at all and that´s just another part which I absolutely adored. Just like with Cuffed, don´t judge the book by it´s cover. There is so much behind those abs, you seriously don´t want to miss. Combust is an absolutely amazing contemporary novel in the typical Bromberg style we love ever since the Driven books.

A Review of Combust by K. Bromberg Dylan and Grady - 5+++++ Stars If you read the first book in this series, then you will have met Grady, as one of the three Malone boys. Grady is the youngest of the three men in the Malone family and as the firefighter, he has seen things that make him reluctant to commit to anyone. Dylan is a songwriter that has been working with her boyfriend for the last couple of years as his co-writer, helping him to make it to the big league. She has had her share of heartbreak in the past, with an absentee father. When her world is turned upside down, she leaves LA and thanks to her brother, makes her way to Sunnyville, where she will be rooming with an old friend of his. I don't want to spoil the book for others, but you really need to pick this book up as soon as you can. And, make sure you have a box of tissues around, you're gonna need them. This book is quintessential Bromberg style and will break your heart but put it back together in a way that you can't expect. I am sooo looking forward to Grayson's story, as I already love his character and he needs a woman that can handle him. Definitely a keeper. Favorite quotes: "Fear has two meanings, son. Forget everything and run. Or face everything and rise." This quote is so spot on that I don't know why I've never heard it before, but it is one that I will be posting on my wall to remember. “It’s okay to forget what hurt you, but just remember to never forget what it taught you.” **Honest review voluntarily provided from a Complimentary Copy**

Just when I think K. Bromberg can’t make me fall any harder, Grady and Dylan come along to prove me wrong. The perfect addition to the Everyday Heroes series, Combust was everything I’d hoped it would be and so much more. Grady and Dylan shared an utterly electric chemistry that made itself known from their very first encounter and continued to grow with each passing page. However, as their journey unfolded, it was the couple’s undeniable emotional connection that held me captive. These two shared something real and raw and absolutely one-of-a-kind that had me rooting for an epic happily ever after. Dylan had my heart immediately. She was strong and feisty despite having been broken and I adored how easily she held her own with Grady. As K. Bromberg further unraveled this character, she exposed Dylan’s flaws and insecurities. I loved seeing all of that pain and vulnerability poured into the heroine’s music, something beautiful being born from the hurt. Grady’s transformation was even more unexpected and the man behind the cocky, playboy persona blew me away. His scars were unfathomable and I couldn’t help but feel deeply for the haunted hero who needed to learn how to forgive himself. Together these two characters broke each other apart, soothed one another’s scars, and found their way to acceptance and love. Once again, I have to say that the cover did not do this book any favors. It seriously undervalues the poignant story found within the pages of Combust and I wish it better captured the impact of Grady and Dylan’s journey. K. Bromberg expertly explores several serious topics with this novel and I appreciated the sensitivity and authenticity with which she took on this tale. The author’s writing is enchanting and full of feeling, ensuring that I completely devoured this novel. The perfect balance of sexy, funny, sweet, and emotional, Combust takes readers on an unforgettable journey. Grady and Dylan’s romance is one of heartache, loss, redemption, acceptance, and forgiveness – a powerful love story that absolutely leaves its mark.

Yet another fantastic read from K Bromberg! She's done it again!! All the smiles, all the tears, all the swoon! So often, the most vulnerable protagonist in books is the female. Kristy has a way of making the male character so very alpha yet broken. Grady Malone is no different, and my goodness, if there aren't thousands of women lusting after this troubled firefighter throughout this book as they read it, then I'll be stunned. Dylan has come to Sunnyville to escape her life in LA. Finding your rock star boyfriend in bed isn't good for the soul. The worst part is that she now needs to write a ton of songs for said rock star about love and matters of the heart. Talk about kicking someone while they're down! Dylan has her own issues. Ones about herself, ones that concern her family and ones that put firefighters of any kind in a big box labelled HELL NO. Piece by piece, and scrap by scrap, Grady and Dylan form a friendship, they talk, they bond, they pretend to be something more, they sooth the burn, they heal. Will they burn too fast or sizzle forever? Scars will always remain but they can be a part of the story, not the end of it. We are left wondering all the way through and the last 25% just flew by as I turned page after page to find out what their ending would be - a dead pile of ashes or a phoenix rising from them. This is one hot story, with a cover to match and some intense heat between the two H and h! Bravo, K Bromberg!!

HOLY SMOKES this book is burning with pure adrenaline, angst and sexual tension. Dylan and Grady were perfect for each other. Each suffering through their own demons, but become the balm to each other that they never knew they needed. I'm not going to tell you much about the book, because I believe everyone need to read a book and grab what they can from it. Just know that book is full of strong characters that will grab hold of you and a storyline that will keep you turning page after page. I adore this series and can't wait for book 3! I loved this part...”His everyday service uniform is hot. His Class A’s are sexy. But this, his yellow turnouts with reflective tape, red suspenders, and no shirt on underneath are everything and then some. Perfection with a little bit of grit thrown in. Any woman who says a firefighter in his gear isn’t sexy is lying because damn . . . that’s the only word I could form”

Combust by K. Bromberg is the second book in the Everyday Hero Series. Cuffed, book one, is Emerson and Grant´s story. Dylan McCoy is a successful songwriter and had a bad breakup with her cheating ex. A ex she´s forced to work with. Dylan has enough and runs and hides out in a small town, Sunnyville. Her new roommate is Grady Malone, scorching hot firefighter and equally issued as Dylan. Grady is the middle brother of the Malones. While Grant is with the PD, he choose a career as fire fighter. And his chosing nearly killed him 2 years ago. Grady is emotionally and physically deeply scarred, loyal to a fault and Dylan´s the only one who somehow " gets " him. Both are beautiful people, inside and out , only they can´t see it. Combust is a beautiful and heart wrenching story about second chances in life, finding strength in themselves and get a well deserved HEA. Combust is beautifully thought out, beautifully written and beautifully told. I love the words and the characters, I could feel their emotions in the words. I recommend Combust, give 5 stars and can´t wait to read the next book; Cockpit - Grayson Malone´s story.

“Something stirs in my belly. The kind of stir full of equal parts giddy, hopeful, and lustful that you feel when you realize you would be more than okay if the man took an interest in you.” Wow. So, this was an interesting combination: songwriter meets firefighter. Now, I love any story about a fireman, policeman, military officer, and well… you get the idea. I’d never have imagined a songwriter would get thrown into the mix with the likes of such men, but when something works — it just works. *sigh* These two. Dylan was surprisingly relatable, even though she lives a life I couldn’t even imagine. Some of her struggles, insecurities, and worries are absolutely ones that I’ve dealt with myself. When she has to relocate to deal with some rather unhappy revelations, a little small town living does her well. This is a character that I enjoyed reading, because although she has received many accolades for her success, she kept focused on her talent, rather than what she could receive from it. This heart, I believe, is what really made her a good fit for Grady. Grady, oh Grady. I fell in love with him SO QUICKLY. I didn’t see it at first, but it quickly became apparent that there was so much more to him than met the eye. I can’t believe how much he kept within himself, only to shower love and happiness on everyone else. There’s so much to his story, so much he has faced, that I couldn’t begin to divulge it in this review. But, trust me, when I tell you that this man deserves love as much as any (fictional) man I’ve met. When Dylan and Grady (finally!) figure it out, man oh man! If a man ever gave me what Grady gives to Dylan, I’d be a goner. “I’m not asking to be your whole world, Dylan, I just want to be a part of it. I want to be the part that revolves around you. I want to be the one who grounds you so we’re forced to come home to each other, even when we’re mad. I want to provide the arms that hug you and the hands that hold yours through whatever adventure awaits us. I want you and whatever the two of us decide we want for our future.” Yep. Totally, completely, absolutely IN LOVE. This was a fantastic read and gave enough angst and uncertainty to keep me satisfied, while never allowing me to lose hope.

Combust by K. Bromberg is the story of Grady Malone and Dylan McCoy. Dylan is a songwriter who just caught her rocker boyfriend in a compromising position in their apartment. She breaks it off and heads to her agents office who then proceeds to tell her she must make it look like they are still together. Dylan agrees but calls up her brother to get her out of town to where she can work on the songs and be away from the spotlight. Her brother has her stay with his friend Grady. Grady is a firefighter and playboy. He is always smiling and cutting up, but you know that there is something burning deep in his eyes. I really liked this book. It was an emotional read for me. This deals with a lot of abandonment issues (Dylan) and Survivors guilt (Grady). I just wanted so many times to hug the both of them and just let them cry it out. The healing that they give to one another is just beautiful. There were a lot of laugh out loud moments amid all the heartache. The banter was great with all of the characters and the hero/heroine. As a person who suffers panic attacks, I felt that the author dealt with the attacks in a very real way. She didn't sugar coat it, you could honestly feel that Grady was struggling. He was trying to do what he loved, but it would just paralyze him. I felt that both Grady and Dylan were real. I think that they both dealt with the hands they were given as best as they could, however them together is what helped the ultimately heal. I LOVE this book. I highly recommend if you are looking for something that will give you all the feels. I found all the characters to be relateable, the flow and pacing was excellent and the depth of these characters are what truly drew me into this story. 10 stars if I could!

***ARC Provided by the Author and Social Butterfly PR*** Ms. Bromberg made me cry. Again. Seriously, again. This author, with her amazing characters and great story-lines with people I care about. I can't help but get teary. There is a scene, one that I am not going to give away, where a character mentions the number 7...BAWLING. Nope, no spoilers here, but you will know what I mean when you get there...because you will be crying. Dylan and Grady have both had some things happen in their lives that have left them a little damaged, and a little broken. But, this is what makes them appealing and it makes them human. I related to Dylan, to the woman hurt by the man she still loves...struggling to move on, to not get stuck in the past, and to find the strength to NOT go back. Grady is stuck in the past. He's trying to move forward, but he is still trying to come to grips with what happened, as the events in his past are the ones that come back in dreams, and in situations that are similar, and in days at the park when you see a person in the crowd who reminds you of what you have lost, through their connection to that loss. So, all the angst and the crying are, as always with Ms. Bromberg's books, totally worth it. Because, with the angst you also get the joy. When your heart is connected and in your throat in the hard times it makes the romance, the sex, and the love that much easier to connect with. This book is the second int he Everyday Heroes series, and while interconnected it can be read as a standalone. While I definitely recommend you start at the beginning, you can start here too. I recommend this title.

Another scorcher by K. Bromberg, jam-packed with all the feels. Boom! Two beautifully flawed characters and a soulful, touching storyline… I couldn’t have loved Dylan McCoy and Grady Malone’s story more if I tried! It’s so perfectly written, you cannot help but see the characters come to life in all of their nuances, with all their flaws and imperfections, right before your eyes, make you feel everything they do… their heartbreak, their combustible chemistry – a magnitude of emotions that will rock you to your core. Dylan McCoy has enough. Enough of her love of her life being a whiney (sorry, but it’s true), cheating, narcissistic dumbaxx. But as dedicated and tenacious she is in her career, she reluctantly agrees to fulfill all her contractual agreements of writing songs with and for said cheating dumbaxx – a.k.a. world-famous rock star Jett, while still needing out. Out and away. Rather yesterday than tomorrow. And a change of scenery just might be exactly what the doctor ordered… Grady Malone is a firefighter. A firefighter who is so guilt-ridden, so struggling with his inner turmoil of heartache, so haunted by his tragic past, by things he wish he could change but simply can’t, that he is rather existing than living his life, keeping his bruised and battered heart as closed off to others as himself. But still, the good-hearted soul of a man that he is, when his best friend calls to ask him if his little sister could stay in his spare room, he immediately agrees… A heroine as determined and talented in her career as she is doubtful and insecure in her love life and a hero so wounded and lonely, yet such a sweet, selfless and caring man – a guaranteed swoon-worthy combination! And when these two come together things get explosively hot! But what these two share is more than chemistry, it’s friendship, a deeply-rooted understanding for one another, even with Dylan wanting nothing to do with a firefighter and Grady not wanting to involve anyone in his life. And still, a breathtakingly beautiful romance unfolds: Them sharing an incredible banter and finding solace in each other – all of it makes for one astonishing journey of healing and love. COMBUST is that kind of love story that is the reason I’m reading romance. It’s perfection. A story destined to capture your heart. One sentence at a time.

4.5 stars! I have not read a book this good in a long while! I was so in love with this story, that I went and bout the other books in this series! I forgot how much I love K. Bromberg's books ! Dylan is a song writer, who needs to get a way from her cheating ex to finish writing songs for his new album. She ends up staying with her brother's friend, firefighter Grady. What starts off as nothing more than a favor turns into a whole lot more between Grady and Dylan. These 2 broken souls, end up fixing each other and falling in love in the process. This book was amazing. I loved how Dylan didn't fit any mold. She was not a size 0 and was more of an average women. With insecurities and all. It was real and raw (specially what happens with her first fling since her ex). I absolutely loved this book!

The fires in this book aren’t the only thing that’s hot. I knew Combust was going to be good and not just another hot “hose whacker” firefighter romance. I always expect a little more from K. Bromberg’s books, and I’m happy to say she delivered another emotional and addicting read. Grady was mentally and physically scarred after a deadly warehouse fire. He won’t let anyone in his life after having come so close to death. Grady doesn’t think he should be involved in a serious relationship. Who would want to be involved with someone that could die every day at work? Dylan is an LA-based songwriter who packed her emotional and physical bags and left her cheating rockstar boyfriend. She is staying at her brother's friend Grady's house out in the suburbs to clear her head and finish a project. Her brother forgot to mention that Grady is a firefighter. Sparks ignite between the two. Their budding relationship is the kind of stuff Dylan writes love songs about. Will their insecurities hit a sour note and not end up a hot love song? Combust is hot, heartfelt, and very real and relatable. This story is from K. Bromberg’s Everyday Hero series. I think she could change it to “Everyday Heres and Heroines”! I really liked these characters and this book!

I am so in love with Grady an Dylan right now! Combust is book 2 in the Everday Heroes series, while it's not necessary to read them in order I highly suggest not missing out on Grant Malone's story, I mean who doesn't love a strong, sexy officer of the law? Grady Malone. Sexy firefighter, doesn't believe he's deserving of a lasting relationship. His past and the scars it left on him have made him a firm believer that he has nothing to offer anyone. Dylan McCoy. Gorgeous songwriter staying at her brothers friends home (Grady) while trying to complete an album after her relationship ended with a bang. Both of these people need someone who loves them as they are, neither of them think that's truly possible for differing reasons. Combust is full of feels; adoration, love, lust, complete and utter disgust, attraction, denile and a touch of jealousy. Fighting, a little making up, acceptance and realizing you are more than you though. Add in an adorable pig and what more could you want? This book has a bit of everything. I'm 28 books in this year an Combust has jumped to the top of the list, it's my favorite of the year.

This is another great read from K. Bromberg! I loved the Driven series and all the books set in that world, and she has done it again with this new world she has taken us to in Cuffed, and now in Combust. There is nothing hotter than a sexy firefighter and Grady is no exception. I loved the development of his relationship with Dylan and how together they made each other See past the things holding them back. I would say this is a definite must read!!
