Overview

She's his sister's best friend.

She thinks he's never noticed her.

She couldn't be more wrong.

Now he just needs to prove it to her...before she walks down the aisle.

Brooklyn Tanner and Andrew Brinks have a long history...one she wants nothing more than to forget. Considering he's her best friend's brother and single father to two amazing girls who mean the world to her, it's almost impossible.

When the man she's been dating proposes, she thinks it's exactly what she needs to finally close this chapter of her life. After all, over sixteen years have passed since she gave Andrew Brinks her heart, only for him to destroy it. Why should that matter now?

But it matters to Drew.

When he learns of her engagement, he realizes he has a decision to make. Does he finally tell Brooklyn the truth of what happened all those years ago? Or does he watch her marry another man to protect her from enduring any more pain?

Wow!TK does it again. You get pulled into story and the feelings of all characters you don't want it to end. Thus story of Brooklyn and Drew.... you feel it deep in your heart . September is too far to see how this ends . As much as I like Wes, I'm routing for Drew. This is a must read &

This review is for an ARC and is my unbiased, honest opinion. “The ones we love the hardest are the ones we hurt the most.” I highly recommend reading the prequel before starting commitment. It added a lot of backstory that helped you in understanding things for Commitment. I love how time didn’t lessen Drew and Brooklyn’s feelings for each other. How some love just transcends time. Their love isn’t this happy, fluffy love. It’s this..well the book said it best…”The gritty kind of love. The kind you have to work for, that doesn’t come easily, that has absolutely zero resemblance to a fairy tale. The love that hurts, rips out your soul, stomping on it and bringing you to the lowest of lows.” Just wow!!! That quote was amazing!! To give you a little backstory, Brooklyn grew up with siblings Drew and Molly. Molly was Brooklyn’s best friend and Brooklyn fell for Drew quite early on in life. Different obstacles kept them apart through the years and eventually Brooklyn gets engaged to someone else. This story is about Brooklyn trying to find where her heart belongs. Do you stay with comfort and surety? Or do you take a leap into the unknown, hoping someone is there to catch you? This story was beautifully written and I highly recommend giving it a read.

Holy mother of all cliffys. I couldn't get enough of this story from start to finish I was hooked. Brooke and Drew are my top fav couple from T.K. The emotions really get your mind buzzing and make it hard for you to pick between loving Wes and Drew. By the end of the story your mind id completely f**ked. Its actually a really great love story that blooms right before your eyes and makes reading it so much fun. The way these characters are towards each other is really wonderful to read and picture. It's a love triangle that makes all other love triangles wrong. This one really rips your heart into 2 making then slowly puts the pieces back one by one along with Brooklyn. Once you reach the end you'll know what I'm talking about. This is one story that you have to read no matter what. Grab tissue and good reading spot you wont want to move the whole time reading this, but in the end it's so worth it. ***I received this ARC in exchange for my honest thoughts, I was in no way told what to say this is all me, myself and I***

This story was AMAZING!! It drew me in from the start, and I couldn’t help but fall in love with Drew and Brooklyn. There were parts that had me laughing, and others that had me in tears. The secondary characters add so much entertainment to this story, with the exception of a certain one who I hope to see the downfall of as Drew and Brooklyn’s story continues. There are a few situations that happen in this book, and I hope to see how they evolve through the rest of the books in this series. That ending has me dying to get my hands on the next book! This is definitely a must read!!!

Brooklyn drove me nuts. I literally wanted to reach in the book and smack her upside the head bc she accepted Wes’s proposal. In true TK fashion she sucks you in and gets your heart rate up and then BAM! I’m patiently waiting for the next book!

T.K. Leigh has written a beautiful, emotional, and intense second chance romance story with great characters, drama, angst, heartbreak, regret, secrets, misunderstandings, forgiveness, passion, and so much more. This is one book that will have you hooked from the very beginning. I volunteered to review an advance reader copy of this book.

Drew has retired from the NHL and is now coaching college hockey. He is a single father to his two daughters and they are what’s most important to him. He and Brooklyn are friends however his feelings for her run much deeper so when he finds out she is engaged he must either stand by and support her or go after what he has always wanted. Brooklyn has been dating her boyfriend Wes for eight months so when he proposed she was surprised. Her feelings for Drew have always been more than friends but she has accepted that it is not meant to be, so she accepts believing it is the right decision for her. The push and pull between Drew and Brooklyn will pull at your heartstrings. Secrets and misunderstandings drove them apart years ago so will this be their second chance, and will Wes become a casualty, or will she choose the man who has made her feel loved and put her first? Full of emotion there is no good person or bad person in this scenario which only makes it that much more heartbreaking. This is the first part of a duet and does end on a cliff hanger.

I knew from the novella this was going to be amazing. Commitment is filled with heartbreak, pain, misunderstanding, but so much more. It is filled with a love between two people that has lasted for years. Circumstances kept them apart so many years ago, circumstances that Brookyn still does not know. Drew feels what good will it do now to tell Brook. But now she is marrying a man that she does not love, partly to try to forget about Drew. Yes Wes is a great guy but he doesn't set her heart on fire. Only one man has ever done that for her but he is also the one man that has broken that same heart in a million pieces. Should she marry a man and hope that love will grow and also desire him the way she desires Drew or should she finally come clean to Drew and pray that they can make it work. Drew loves her with all his heart. She has always been it for him. He struggles with the truth of why he left her that day he left for college but maybe it's what she needs to hear. Their lives changed that day and to finally know the truth then maybe they can finally admit what they feel for each other and be together. TK Leigh once again gives us a story that grabs at our heart and never lets go. Her characters become a part of us and we can't help but cheer them on and scream when we don't get what we want when we want it. Even through Drew's daughters we see the love these two have for each other. There is an old saying "out of the mouths of babes" It is so true with this story. The comments and observations from these two small characters, Charlotte and Alyssa, prove what the adults see but don't admit to. I love how TK Leigh brings these characters into the story. Hopefully the adults will pay attention.

What a story this was! It had me from the very start and I couldn't put it down! It's a story of love and selflessness. Making choices for the love you have for someone else. It will pull at your heartstrings. You will be cheering Drew and Brooklyn on through out the whole book. And while it will end in a cliffhanger, I promise you won't be disappointed and the conclusion is coming. You don't want to miss this story full of everything we have come to love from a T.K. Leigh book!

First of all, let’s talk about the beauty of the cover. Simple, yet stunning and enigmatic. The story opens with Brook (Brooklyn) and Drew (Andrew) as teenagers. Brook is the best friend of Drew’s younger sister Molly. Brook has had a’thing’ for Drew for years and now that she is getting older he has noticed her too. One night Drew rescues Brook from doing something that she would regret at a party, they kiss, he drives her home and they kiss some more. This is caught on the CCTV that her father has everywhere and me misconstrues it and turns up next morning to threaten Drew if he does not stay away from Brook. Drew is off to college and knows that despite their families (both their fathers are single fathers) being close, he has no option to do as he is told and keep a wide distance from Brook. Fast forward 16 years and Drew is a single dad to 2 little girls (and casually seeing a woman that he has no feelings for) , Molly is pregnant and engaged and Brooklyn is Dating Wes. Despite the time passed the trio are all still incredibly close but Drew and Brook are still harbouring deeper (unacknowledged) feelings for one another. When Wes proposes and Brook says yes. This is such a well written emotionally charged story of the many different kinds of love and hard decisions. The characters are incredibly well written and the story is beautifully woven. Even though this is slower paced than my usual reading choice, I found just as pleasurable to read. Well that was until the cliffhanger! Ooh T.K. Leigh may be a wonderful author but what I little minx to leave me hanging this way! – Luckily she won’t be keeping her readers waiting too long.
