Overview

The 8.5 x 11 Teacher Lesson Plan book includes five days of lessons that describe the objectives, and skill sets children will be introduced to while engaging in fun and exciting activities. Each day children will be presented new vocabulary words, fun activities to engage journal writing, and teachers will be given guidance on how to enhance the centers in their classrooms to engage children's learning. The back of the book contains cutouts of manipulatives that teachers are encouraged to use throughout the lesson.

About the Author

Hello, my name is Lisa Riley and I served approximately 22 years in the childcare industry. Over the years I’ve acquired an Associates Degree in Early Childhood; Bachelors Degree in Business Administration; and a Masters Degree in Public Administration. My career in Early Childhood was extremely rewarding as I managed to work with one of the pioneers of the industry, “Head Start” which was founded as a part the of War on Poverty under the Economic Opportunity Act in 1964. A panel of experts were developed to create a comprehensive child development program that met the needs of disadvantaged preschool children.

As a parent of a child that attended a Head Start program and eventually working as an Assistant Teacher, Lead Teacher, then Managing several centers throughout my career, I’ve acquired a vast knowledge about the industry and am sensitive to its teaching structure and simply admire the dedication of the staff and the families they serve. With that being said, I have decided to dedicate my time and energy into creating teaching materials that serve this industry.
