Samantha Brooks stands onstage as the curtain rises. Her dreams are coming true. She doesn't know her nightmare is coming too.

The spotlight lands on Samantha Brooks. Years of practice build to the opening night of a global tour. She plays her heart out, but there are darker forces underneath the stage.

There are eyes watching from the wings.

Liam North fights to keep her safe with every weapon he owns. She's his greatest pride—and his greatest weakness. The danger comes from somewhere no one expected. Betrayal threatens to destroy everything he's build. His business. His family. His life.

When the curtain falls, only one of them will be left standing.

Concerto by Skye Warren is a forbidden romance that I listened to on audio narrated by Teddy Hamilton and Grace Grant. This is book two in the North Security Series. Book three Sonata is currently not released on Audio but is available in print. Also, book four Audition will be available October 29, 2019. I cannot wait to dive into the sequels. All I can say is wow! Skye did it again with an amazing sequel to Overture. I love the Dark Forbidden Romance with the Suspense throughout the novel. There are just enough sexual scenes for the romance portion, but I really love the suspense of the storyline surrounding Samantha and Liam life. Teddy and Grace are an amazing duo. They really bring the story to life. #AudiobookObessionReviwer #AudioBookObsession

Since Overture ended with a cliffhanger, I had to get Concerto. Then the same thing happens, another cliffhanger. Be prepared, because if you like these books as much as I have, you'll need the third and what has been promised as final book. The story is very good, great suspense and good characters. I am hopeful Liam and Samantha can both grow some, Liam overcome his horrific childhood and Samantha mature more. It gets a 4 because of the cliffhanger ending.

5 Stars Review by Elizabeth Late Night Reviewer Up All Night w/ Books Blog Epic. Epic. Epic! Skye Warren has delivered another great book with Concerto. Concerto, is installment two of three, in the North Security trilogy. You must read the first installment, Overture, to understand this trilogy. Be prepared to be sucked in by this kick-behind trilogy. Concerto picks up right where Overture left off and boy is it awesome! Not only do we get more Liam and Samantha, we get a lot more action-packed romance. Samantha is in another city without the man she loves because she left him behind to start a world tour. Not only is her life in danger, she misses Liam like crazy. Will Liam be able to protect her from her past? Or will they get caught in the crossfire? Skye Warren knows how to play with your emotions. I was on pins and needles while reading Concerto and feeling like throwing my iPad at some points. I loved the action in addition to the romance. It makes Be prepared to have your socks knocked off in this epic installment. I cannot wait for summer to come so I can read the final installment, Sonata.

This book was so good – I mean, it was, I need to sleep and am so tired, but I stayed up until 4 am to finish it good. You know in a trilogy, the second book is sometimes that wonderful creamy centre, big on decadence, high on gooey goodness, but without a lot of substance to fill you up? Yeah, the is NOT the case here, because this book is better than the first, this book doesn’t even feel like it is in a trilogy, it is a complete, hair-raising, edge-of-your-seat-sitting, make-you-squirm-in-all-the-right-ways, AMAZING!!! Samantha matures in this story. She has been sheltered, really her whole life, and has gladly stood back and let her life happen. She grows in this book, she learns her power, she finds her strength, and, by the end, she knows her way, and while so many things aren’t clear, her way is with Liam Liam also finally comes to some realizations in this story. He is strong, he has endured, and he must look after Samantha, no matter what. She isn’t his weakness though; she is what gives him purpose. Stubborn and unseeing for so much of the story, when clarity finally occurs to him by the end, you can almost hear the strength with these two in sync click into place This book is dark, yeah some of the content is, but it feels like it is dark. Not in a mist, in the shadows, with the little bit of light there is, reflecting and seeming more than it is. Samantha and Liam give off heat that burns when they are together, but they don’t give off any light. A few rays shine on them for a few moments, and then they are snuffed out, covered, blocked. This doesn’t deter them though, they feel each other, seek out each other, and cannot be denied the other. They are not a doomed coupling; they are the couple that will take anyone who stands against them. Now that they know that, watch out! p.s. What is up with Josh??? and when can I get more #intrigued

This is the continuation of Liam and Samantha’s story. You must read book one first. Samantha is on tour and Liam is trying to keep her safe. These books are angsty goodness. Plenty of action and heat with a great story. Excellently plotted. You are along for a wild ride.

This concerto was beautiful! You must read Overture first, because Concerto is the middle of the story. What a beautifully emotional middle of the story it is! My heart was breaking for both Liam & Samantha. My heart broke for Samantha, because all she wanted was to be loved. My heart broke for Liam, because he felt he can’t truly love her with the sins of his past. But they are meant to be! Samantha did bloom into a beautiful woman in this book. I was also shocked with the twisty turns that happened which kept me turning pages until the end! I can’t wait to see how this trilogy ends in Sonata!

The show must go on. Samantha, a violin child prodigy leaves Liam to on on her tour, except that she is no longer a child. This was always her dream. Concerto picks up where Overture ends. Liam tried to stay away from Samantha. We are introduced to new characters. People are not what they seem. Samantha and Liam’s relationship continues to be full of angst and doubts. The book is suspenseful and emotional and it does end in a cliffhanger. I cannot wait for the next book. Review copy was received ...more
