When I saw that the second book in the Grumpy Old Wizard series was out I just had to buy it. I found the first one enjoyable and reading the second book was a lot of fun because you already knew the back story behind Josephine and her friends. Josephine is such a fun character to read about and I love reading about all the interesting challenges she and her friends face on a daily basis. This book is jam packed with action, suspense and tons of laugh out loud moments. I will certainly be going out and purchasing the next book in the series.

This is an outstanding book! It is one of the few books in the last few years that has instantly captured my attention and kept it throughout the whole book. Josephine is a deeply engaging character, her friends a nice compliment to her, and the story line. This book combines the correct elements of mystery, suspense, and urban fantasy that will make an outstanding series This book is a true page turner, and a joy to read. .

Just like the first book, O'Riley writes with a unique and clear voice that is easy to enjoy. Not only was the plot interesting and well-paced, but I found myself rooting for Josephine and growing to really like her. Between the adventure, and supernatural themes, this ended up being a great read. I'll definitely look into more by O'Riley soon and highly recommend this book!

Author John O’ Riley has cast his writing spell on me again. It’s the only way that I can explain my addiction to yet another on of his Contemporary Fantasy Adventure reads. Corruption (Grumpy Old wizards Book 2) was the epitome of everything extraordinary, and the  opposite of everything predictable. O’ Riley managed to mastermind a world where old women are actually young and vigorous, Grandmothers and grandsons are colleagues, and Nana’s are dating like--- cougars. These are three of the central characters, but I’m  forever hooked on what’s delivered; the underlying theme of the magical as it pertains to this trio, embroiled in a battle for power and  status against outside supernatural forces.

A really fascinating book that involves a multi-dimensional and well written main character who carries the plot forward in a really fun way. This urban fantasy has kept me hooked reading from the very start and the plots various twists and turns have been so well written. Another awesome installment of the series, highly recommended.
