Overview

Count upon your Friends is a picture book about a young boy named Harry. He is afraid to climb the steep basement steps to go up to his bedroom. He and his mom make a game of it by placing one of his stuffed animals on each step and counting them along the way. Once Harry is safely off to bed, an enchanted escapade ensues, and in the morning, Harry and his mom are in for a big surprise!

About the Author

Suzy Scudder was an elementary school teacher and math interventionist for many years. When she retired, she decided to write a book that counts from 1 to 13, forward and backward, because this was a difficult skill for many of her students.

Anne Bamberg was born and raised in Door County, Wisconsin, surrounded by a wonderful community rich in the arts. She received her BFA at UW-Milwaukee, and currently resides in Madison, WI with her husband and two boys.
