About the Author

Jonathan Cohen is a poet, translator, essayist, and scholar of inter-American literature. Pedro Mir (1913–2000) is recognized as the Dominican Republic's foremost literary figure of the twentieth century. Silvio Torres-Saillant (PhD, New York University) is Professor of English and Chair of the Humanities Council at Syracuse University. Donald Walsh was a translator of Latin American Poetry.
