About the Author

Clarissa Willis has a PhD in Early Childhood Special Education and has written 19 teacher resource books and worked on major curriculum projects. She is an internationally known speaker in the field of early childhood education and inclusion of children with special needs. She is an Associate Professor at the University of Southern Indiana. Currently, she is working on the next "Critter" book in the series. Her passion is helping teachers create inclusive environments for all children. She lives in Southern Indiana with her dog, Mr. Ebenezer.

Dylan Hale has been creating works of art since he was four years old. His passion for all things artistic has led him down some interesting career paths, including cake decorator, muralist, designing advisor, teacher, and most recently, an illustrator with Oghma Creative Media. A native of Bentonville, Arkansas, Dylan's heart lies in the classroom with his students. Graduating with his MFA in Art Education from the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville, Dylan jumped headfirst into the teaching world. In Bentonville, he currently teaches graphic design to high schoolers and general art to 5th graders.
