When the power goes out at home, young scientist Curious McCarthy hypothesizes that when there is no electricity at the house, one of the seven McCarthy kids will get in trouble. The power comes back of before the hypothesis is proven true, but Curious's interest in electricity has been sparked. About the Author

Tory Christie is a real scientist by day and secretly writes children’s books at night.  When it is light outside, she studies rocks and water. After dark, she writes silly science stories that kids and grownups can laugh about. Mina Price is an American illustrator and designer. She has a particular affinity for book illustration and character design, or basically any project that allows her to draw interesting people in cool outfits. Mina graduated from the Maryland Institute College of Art with a BFA in Illustration. She enjoys finding ways to seamlessly marry traditional and digital art, going from scanner to Photoshop to printer to paint and back again.  When she is not drawing, Mina can frequently be found baking things with lots of sugar or getting way too emotional over a good book.
