About the Author

Mark Greaney has a degree in international relations and political science. In his research for the Gray Man novels, including Agent in Place, Gunmetal Gray, Back Blast, Dead Eye, Ballistic, On Target, and The Gray Man, he traveled to more than fifteen countries and trained alongside military and law enforcement in the use of firearms, battlefield medicine, and close-range combative tactics. He is also the author of the New York Times bestsellers Tom Clancy Support and Defend, Tom Clancy Full Force and Effect, Tom Clancy Commander in Chief, and Tom Clancy True Faith and Allegiance. Court has made a number of powerful enemies, including Russian mafia boss Gregor Sidorenko, whose heavily fortified dacha outside St. Petersburg he attacks in a one-man air raid. The CIA, for reasons that remain unclear, has issued a shoot-on-sight order for Court and put Whitlock on his trail. The final piece of the puzzle is Mossad targeting team leader Ruth Ettinger, who has learned from a reliable source that Iranian agents have hired Court to assassinate the Israeli prime minister. The various moves of each of the skilled and ruthless principals play out against a constantly shifting background of changing goals and allegiances.
