About the Author

Alex Ashe grew up in central New Hampshire and has been influenced by the landscape for as long as she can remember. After studying criminal investigation and a career in technical writing, Alex Ashe combined her fields of study to write 'Death of a Player'. 'Death at the Notch' followed in September 2013.
The character of Mena Young allows Ashe to explain her criminology knowledge while telling stories based on small town life. Stories from her childhood and people she knew influence her writing. Most of all, the relationships she observed between her family, friends and townsfolk are carried over into her novels. Alex Ashe's favorite part of writing is when she feels she's captured a spark from her memories and shares them with her readers.
