About the Author

Tamarcus Lott is a Memphis, TN native. He is the youngest of four and twin to his older brother (by six minutes). Tamarcus became the first-generation graduate once he earned his Bachelor's of Science in Speech and Mass Communication at Jackson State University. He credits his alma mater for opening his eyes to the history of black people and black excellence.
Degreed and Homeless is his first venture as an author and publisher. Tamarcus started TalkALott Production Company during his senior year of college. The company’s first attempt to produce a mini-series failed to obtain licensing rights from the university to and the footage never saw the light of day. Years later after a series of unfortunate of life events, Tamarcus re-envisioned his future and sought out a new direction for his company. He relaunched his company as TalkALott Media Company.
