he between two realms be shoved/
the spiritual/
and carnal laws/
each forcing him upon their claws/

Yet with each breath a labor be/
and every beat of heart be freed/
he writes each line/
with silver tears/
and watches as a poem appears/

Then deep within his hollow eyes/
a frightened little child cries/
hoping they/
will hear his voice/
long after he has made his choice/
