About the Author

Joan Mettauer grew up in Alberta's heartland. Her love affair with aviation was sparked at an early age, and she dedicated most of her working years to the flying bsiness in Canada's north. Her final years in the industry were spent in Inuvik, NWT.

Now retired, she returned to her Alberta roots and lives in Medicine Hat with her husband. Her greatest joy is spending time with her many grandchildren, who are scattered around the world.

Diamonds in an Arctic Sky is Joan's first novel in the 'Andi & North' series, inspired by her life and experiences in the Arctic and fueled by her imagination.
