A former high school science teacher, with a Ph.D. in science education from the University of Georgia, Wheeler-Toppen is passionate about presenting science as exciting, suspenseful, and understandable. Her most recent title for National Geographic Kids, Edible Science: Experiments You Can Eat, was a Junior Library Guild Selection.
