RANDAL W. SUMMERS is an adjunct professor in the Business Administration Program at the University of Phoenix, Northern California campus. He is a general partner and executive director in the consulting firm of Summers & Associates. He has been a director and manager in the semi-conductor and computer software industry, in government, healthcare and fortune 100 companies specializing in organizational development, leadership development and human resources consulting. He is a co-editor and contributing author in a number of books entitled: Managing Colleges and Universities: Issues for Leadership (Greenwood, 2000), Teen Violence: A Global Perspectivepart of the series entitled: A World View of Social Issues (Greenwood, 2000), Schools, Violence and Society (Praeger).
ALLAN M. HOFFMAN is Dean and Professor of the College of Health Sciences at Des Moines University, and Director of the Center for the Prevention of Community Violence. He is the author of Schools, Violence and Society (Praeger, 1996) and Teen Violence: A Global View (Greenwood, 2000).
