About the Author

Crystal Corocher is an author and editor of stories for children and young adults. She is also a library and literacy coordinator. Basically, she is thrilled to work in any way that sees more kids reading more books! While she calls Melbourne home for now, Crystal grew up on a farm in Northern New South Wales. The formidable ‘Lightning’ Lizzy is a small homage to the many innovative, resilient, and down-right legendary women she has known in the agricultural industry - none more so than her own mom. Rebel Challenger is an artist and wildlife carer who lives on a leafy acreage property surrounded by chickens and ducks. As a working art director and graphic designer (and with a science degree from that time she dreamed of being a park ranger) Rebel uses none of these skills when drawing. Instead, most of her artwork is inspired by the animals she cares for, the ones who visit her backyard and animals throughout the world she would love to meet one day.
