About the Author

L. W. Phillips is a businesswoman with a secret—well, with everyone reading this, she had a secret. For years she figuratively wrote all day. Once she went through each day thinking of her actions and reactions and those of others as scenes in books. Finally, she decided to write things down--okay, she typed them out. Those things turned into more things, and one day, she woke with a full-length novel—okay—four months later, she woke with a full-length novel.

Sometimes her musings are more cartoonish, especially living with three Schnauzers. Please don’t get your hopes up; no comics from her--she can’t draw a stick figure. Along with her pups, she has a husband and three children—two grown and one teenager. She breeds crested geckos and runs a dental company. When does she sleep, you ask? She doesn’t.

Her escape is the world of fantasy. Reading and writing relax her. Young adult fantasy is her favorite, with adult fantasy and historical fiction following close behind.

Her motto is never give up and always follow your dreams!
