Dreams From the Grandfather is the latest recording from Canyon Records by Native American flutist Robert Tree Cody of the Dakota-Maricopa heritage. This collection of new Native American music by Robert Tree Cody includes songs for both the flute and voice and shows the close relationship between the two. Usually made from cedar, the Native American flute is an ancient instrument belonging to the native cultures of the American plains and woodlands. Traditionally, flutes have been constructed to emulate the human voice in tone and character. New audiences are discovering that few instruments are as richly expressive as the Native American flute.

This cdis great if you like relaxing to different types of music. I like to listen to this before I go to sleep at night to relax and clear my mind and think of the plains and the sunsets and watching the little indian children dancing around the fire learning the traditional dance in my mind. I feel totally relaxed 3/4 of the way thru the cd to the point of just being completely relaxed and ready for a good night of sleep.
