"While the movie Oh Brother, Where Art Thou? may not have been a huge hit, the soundtrack raked in lots of money and also spawned Down From the Mountain, a celebration of the music featured in the film. Artisan has done a very nice job with this 1.85:1 anamorphic widescreen transfer. Many of the shots have a handheld video feel to them, and the quality is not always perfect (some grain and dirt shows up in a few areas). However, overall this is a very nice looking print that should please the discerning viewer's eye. The audio on this disc is presented in Dolby Digital 5.1 and sounds excellent. The aggressive surround aspects of this track usually show up during the concert performances by such artists as Emmylou Harris, Alison Krauss, and David Rawlings. All aspects of the music on this disc are clear and free of distortion. Also included on this disc is a Dolby Digital 2.0 soundtrack in English. The only extra features available on Down From the Mountain include a list of the songs performed in concert, some information on the cast and crew, and a theatrical trailer."
