This unique documentary program from cable's History Channel finds that network joining forces with the Historic Salisbury Foundation and Lowe's Hardware corporation to restore a historical landmark: the McCubbins-McCanless House in Salisbury, North Carolina, which dates back to 1891. Domestic renovation expert Steve Thomas hosts, and observes various stages of the restoration process, such as the reconstruction of the second-story porch, the masonry work on the various chimneys, foundation repair and much more. Film of the restoration is supplemented by interviews with historians and experts, as well as before and after footage.
