Soul Surfer

A champion surfer loses her left arm in a terrifying shark attack, but summons the determination to make an incredible comeback in this inspirational sports drama based on an incredible true story. A lifelong surfer who always felt at home in the sea, Bethany Hamilton (AnnaSophia Robb) honed her surfing skills in Kauai, and went on to compete in numerous surfing competitions. Then, one fateful Halloween morning, the wave-riding teen was taking part in a national surf competition when a 14-foot-long tiger shark emerged from the depths and changed her life in the blink of an eye. By the time Bethany reached shore, her left arm was almost completely gone. But just when it started to look like she would never ride a surfboard again, young Bethany used her faith and determination to reclaim the title of champion while being cheered on by her supportive parents (Dennis Quaid and Helen Hunt), and Sara (Carrie Underwood), the kind-hearted leader of a local youth group.

Soul Surfer by Bethany Hamilton is an inspirational story about how a girl got her arm bitten off by a shark and didn't want to give up her dream. Facing a fear is hard but to Hamilton it was just getting back in the water and surfing again. God was a big part of her life and was there for her all through her incident. Hamilton is a survivor. I enjoyed this book because she inspired me to become whatever i want and to never give up. I would recommend this book to teenage girls because this really helps you get out of you shell and be yourself

Book Review Outline Book title and author: Soul Surfer by: Bethany Hamilton Title of review: Soul Surfer review Number of stars (1 to 5): Introduction: ¿Soul Surfer¿ tells the true, inspiring story about Bethany Hamilton a professional surfer. Bethany wrote this book about her life, her family, and her fighting to get back on the board. There are about 288 pages. Some people will think it is a big book. I do not like big books but in I have to say it is a good book. I was proud of myself when I finished! Description and summary of main points The main characters in the story are Bethany, her mom, her dad, her two brothers Noah and Timmy and her dog Ginger. I recommend this book to people ages 10-older. The book is about a girl who is a very good surfer and she was surfing with her friend and her dad and brother and she got her arm bit off by a shark. The book is also about how her life was going before the attack, during the attack, and how she is doing after she is good to surf again. This book is very inspiring to me! Evaluation I would rate this book 5 stars. This book was really good! I hope u could read it. Conclusion At the end of the story she becomes a great surfer and she goes far in her life. Your final review This was my favorite book I have ever ! I am happy I spent the time to read it.

Soul Surfer attracted me because i loved surf movies and these are really hard to some by,also the true story intrigued me.I was interested to see how a girl who got attacked by a shark and lost her left arm, could get back on her feet and even surf Annasophia is the perfect Bethany, she shows so much courage and emotion. It's so amazing how she can be so traumatized and still try like hell to compete in the Hawaiian Regional Surfing champs. It really shows the strength and can-do attitude she had to overcome such any obstacle! Her parents were perfect choices as well, no one could do parents better then Denis and Helen.Soul Surfer is inspiring, touching and just has great surfing! Must watch for all surfing lovers and families!A movie that will have your heart pounding, laughing and crying!
