Art of Violin: The Devil's Instrument - Transcending the Violin is part of the PBS series Art. The film contains footage of some of the most respected violinists of the twentieth century performing some of the most recognizable pieces in the classical cannon. Included is footage of such masters as Joseph Szigeti, Yehudi Menhuin, and David Oistrakh. The DVD release of the film offers a detailed guide to all of the musical selections.
