Overview

Jason Bonham, Eric Lane and Sonja Bettencourt, affectionately referred to as "angels" by the Sanders, make friends with the new "kid on the block," 14 year old Lauren Russell and her widowed father, Alan. After Lauren's mother unexpectedly dies from appendicitis, she finds herself uprooted and moved to her father's hometown, Easton, California. Living in a new house, in a small town and enrolled in a new school, Lauren watches her father struggle with his grief following his wife's unexpected death. A lonely Lauren reaches out to the angels and the Sanders family and with the help of Jason, Eric and Sonja's collective charm, wit and antics, the angels slowly pull Alan and Lauren together in their grief and healing. Strange things are happening in the South West Avenue neighborhood. While the angels, Lauren and friends work through the mysteries, Lauren and her father come to realize love has many shapes.

About the Author

Donna L. Dolf, a third generation Californian, lives in Fresno, California with her son, dog and two cats. Originally a "Valley girl," Donna was born and raised in the San Gabriel Valley in Los Angeles County, California. She graduated from Charter Oak High School in Covina, California; attended DeVry Institute of Technology in Phoenix, Arizona; South Bay College in Hawthorne; El Camino College in Torrance; and Fresno City College in Fresno. She has also taken photography courses from the New York Institute of Photography.

Donna's first job was a dishwasher at a retirement home in the San Gabriel Valley. She has worked as a secretary, credit adjuster for a major department store, computer repair person, executive secretary, freelance stock photographer, been a rancher in Easton, is a driver for Uber, and worked as a legal secretary for almost 26 years. Donna is currently entertaining her desire to write. The Easton Series is her current project.

Always creative, Donna has written stories, captured memories in photographs and crocheted many blankets which she loves to gift her friends. Spare moments will find her engrossed in whatever book she is currently reading. When out and about in Fresno County, she is never without her camera.
