It's no secret that I'm this author's fan. I adore her PNR books, from great plots to great characters. It's a full package. So when I had the chance to get my hands on this book, I was stoked. I knew I was in for a treat. And once I started reading the story, I simply couldn't put it down. I even believe I finished it in one sitting. And if that doesn't convince you to read this book, the characters sure will. I adored both main characters and of course also the characters from previous books. There was no unnecessary drama between Madisyn and Bracken. They knew where they stood as individuals and what they had to do to make their relationship work. Both had to overcome their past demons and there were ups and downs, like in any other normal relationship and that's what made me fall in love with them. Their love was believable, since they didn't rush things and thankfully you didn't get the insta-love that is so common in PNR books. Sure, at times it's fun to read about that type of love but for this story I don't believe it would've worked. As per usual, you also get a healthy dose of action, so there's no chance for boredom. All in all, this is a nice addition to The Mercury Pack series.

Ok this is an easy five for me because I'm just loving the Mercury Pack stories. With this book not only do we get a hot shifter romance but I loved that Madisyn was part of the sanctuary caring for young lone shifters that we read about several books back . Plus she's a rare feline that until reading this I'd never even heard of . NowI'm even more in awe because the obvious research and attention to detail really helped to bring everything to life as we learn just how tenacious Madisyn really is. Now don't worry this isn't a one sided story and our hero Bracken was a total surprise to this reader. If blunt he hadn't really make much of an impact on me before but this time he's larger than life and twice as dangerous. Plus he has such a sad backstory dragging him down that honestly would melt the hardest heart. Great plot, amazing characters and such a steamy read all goes together to make this book a dream to read and I hope this series never ends ! This voluntary take is of a copy I requested from Netgalley and my thoughts and comments are honest and I believe fair

My Thoughts - 5 out of 5 Unicorns - I loved it!!! ***I choose what I read and review based on what intrigues me!! Yes, I got a review copy of this book, but no one tells me what to think, feel, or write about any book! I don’t own this book, but I will because I already have 12 of her books! The cover is very cool, and I love how it looks! This is the 4th book in this series, but the first one of the series that I’ve read. It is for adults only due to the violent battles and steamy scenes involving mates. You can read them out of order though it is probably even better when you read them in order. This is Madisyn’s story who is a lone shifter who lives under the protection of the Mercury Pack. She is a Pallas cat, and they look so cool! She has emotional baggage and lives as she sees fit. Bracken is an enforcer in the Mercury Pack, and he has more baggage than anyone. Everyone in the pack wants to fix him. This story is full of action, turmoil, fights, and mates. I loved every minute of it. I don’t want to give anything away, but Suzanne does an awesome job of pulling you into the story where you can’t put it down. I stayed up way too late to finish it. I can’t wait to read the rest of her books! I highly recommend to any shifter fans because we have cats, wolves, bears, and so much going on that you’ll love it!!!

The fourth book in the Mercury Pack series is a thrilling read that draws readers in and refuses to let go. Madisyn and Bracken are strong, bold characters that really stand out and grab attention and the chemistry that burns between is electrical. The relationship between is rocky from start to finish and quite entertaining as they struggle through it. Readers can’t help but get caught up in all the upheaval that occurs emotionally between Madisyn and Bracken as readers can easily understand their motivations which it makes it difficult to open their hearts. The couple exchange some witty dialogue, some feisty debates, some sweet heart moments and lots of sizzling attraction and red hot passion during their journey to reach their happily ever after. But the tangled emotions of this relationship is not the only thing that makes it interesting, threats from their past add thrilling danger, intriguing suspense and adrenaline pumping excitement. The plot is fast paced and flows smoothly which along with the author’s ability to bring stories to vivid life, makes it easy for readers to become so caught up in the story that they lose track of time. The character interactions of this series and The Phoenix Pack series are one of family, loyalty, understanding and the struggle to survive and fit in which makes it easy for readers to connect with the them and also invites readers into their lives, so readers really can’t get enough of this fascinating world.

This is a great edition to the Mercury Pack series. Like all of Ms. Wrights books that I've had the privilege to read, I didn't want to put this book down. I was up until the wee hours of the morning to finish it off. I just had to know what happened! The book adds more depth to the Mercury and Phoenix Packs dynamics. We meet more people and get a glimpse at the previously mated couples to see how they are faring. I was easily transported to this world that Ms. Wright has created for her paranormal readers. I felt like I was watching everything unravel. I liked the way the issues were dealt with in this book and I would definitely recommend everyone read it. I know this review is skimpy on details, but I really don't want to ruin the story for anyone. Just know that Madisyn Drake is NOT to be messed with, and not just because Bracken has her back! I enjoyed everything about this book except for the fact that I now must wait for the next one! 5 stars...I will be reading this one again. I received a free copy of this book from Netgalley in exchange for an honest review.

Due to a personal tragedy, Bracken has changed from an affable, but shallow, pack member into a brooding alpha male, battling with inner demons. Madisyn is a loner shifter who works at the bar the Mercury Pack owns.. She knows Bracken and thinks of him as a friend. A mate isn't on either of their radar. Until it is. With trouble all around them, can these two independent shifters come together, not only as a couple, but also to help put a stop to the danger they are facing? I recommend reading for yourself to see exactly what happens. Loved this story! Bracken and Madisyn are awesome together. Plus we get the other Mercury Pack wolves and Phoenix Pack wolves who love to be a part of everyone's lives and to have their back when needed. Ms. Wright is a shifter-writing goddess. Lol I was gifted a copy of this book from the publisher via NetGalley. My thoughts and opinions are my own and without bias.

Love this series. Suzanne Wright gets it perfect every time. I am a fan of paranormal and she has become my favorite. This was a great story about two different people with reasons to keep them apart but they work thru it and it's not easy. This is very sensual as all in these series have been.

I love this series! Suzanne Wright writes the best characters! They are so funny and so vulnerable at the same time. I have wanted to know Madisyn's story since we first met her. And I had to look up the kind of cat she was (I won't say in case you haven't read the book) but I hadn't heard of the type she is and it's so cute! I love that she's just a bit crazy. Bracken was an ok MC. I understand his issues. and I LOVED how alpha/protective he is. I really don't know why I didn't fall all over him. He is basically the perfect caveman shifter, that I love but he just did nothing for me. I loved him and Madisyn together. They fit perfectly and helped each other with their problems. I will always read everything suzanne writes. Her characters are sassy and make me laugh and I love it!

Madisyn is a cat shifter, not just any kind but a Pallas cat. They are small but go all crazy on whomever bothers them. She is going thru touch hunger. As a loner, she doesn't have much contact with anyone and hasn't a boyfriend, either her. Bracken is of the the Mercury Pack. They are wolf shifters. When he notices that Madisyn is exhibiting physical symptoms of touch hunger, he helps her out with it. While neither have actually hated each other, they never really paid a lot of attention to each other, either. Once they are together, both realize that they are mates. They decide to take it slow. Bracken has had a great trauma in his past that has been hard to get over. Another shifter pack wants a girl that Madisyn has helped hide. They will do anything to find her. Between these shifters causing problems and other females interfering, their courtship is on a rocky path. When attacks start on all sides, we get to see more Pallas cats and the Phoenix Pack helps out as well. I loved this story. The Mercury Pack and the Phoenix Pack have been my favorites for a while. If you liked the Phoenix Pack, you will love the Mercury Pack. I recommend both and really liked that the characters from both were in this book. I received this book from Net Galley and Montlake Publishing for a honest review and no compensation otherwise. The opinions expressed are my own.

This series is one of the best out there and I wasn't disappointed with this latest edition to the mercury pack Madisyn Drake is a pallas cat shifter and she has made it her life job to help lone shifters find new homes. Backen Slater is a wolf shifter and member of The Mercury Pack he made a name for himself when he took out every extremist involved in the killing of his family They have known one another for years are attracted but have never made a move on it. When Madisyn is threatened after hiding a bear shifter called Daisy then Bracken's wolf jumps to attention to protect. Both of these shifters have issues he is still damaged by the loss of his family she is a natural loner but with a little bit of give and take and a whole lot of love these mates will learn to be a pair

What can I say about how awesome this book is? I sat up all night, until 4am reading it because once I started it, I was so involved with the characters that I couldn’t put it down! Madisyn is such a fun and snarky heroine. She’s been a favorite of mine since we first met her. The change in Bracken from Zander’s book to this one is heartbreaking. These two were definitely meant for each other.

4.5 “Can I get my own alpha wolf now?” Stars I have no words. No words to describe how much I enjoy these wolves’ stories and how they keep surprising me in their awesomeness. I mean, this is the 11th book between the Phoenix and Mercury packs. Before I started, I told myself to lower my expectations because there’s just nothing new that could happen. No way Bracken could be as alpha or Madisyn as weird and kick-butt without them being a lesser copy of the shifters that came before them. But you know what? I shouldn’t have bothered, cause Ms. Wright once again blew me away with Echoes of Fire. Still, this is a shifter romance so there’s mating and bonding. There’s action, fights, battles, and intrigue. There’s lots of really hot sex and the-by-now-expected butt-sex-epilogue. Ms. Wright just has a way of writing that gets me totally engrossed in the story, completely connected to the characters. Bracken was utter perfection. After the tragedy he barely survived, he was left more aloof, detached and menacing than ever. Watching him come alive again for Madisyn was spectacular. He was alpha as expected, but his protectiveness and possessiveness went seriously over the top and that was just the cherry on top of all his bossy yumminess. Madisyn was the sh*t. We knew she was slightly on the other side of crazy from the previous books, but man! She was epically kick-butt. Fierce, loyal and with a devil-may-care attitude she was everything I was expecting and exactly what Bracken needed. Their chemistry was obviously ridiculously hot and their animal side interactions adorable. I really liked how she made Bracken handle their connection and how they were open about facing their issues. Echoes of Fire had everything I needed, wanted or could even dream of, I loved it from start to finish and I want these series to go on forever. That said, I really wish we’d gotten the chance to see Madisyn exacting revenge on the whole Lucah cat-fish issue, there is just no way this feline would let it go without some inventive payback. *I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book*

***I received a complimentary copy from the publisher through #Netgalley in exchange for an honest and unbiased review*** Let me just start by saying that I FLOVED this book and would give it more stars if I could. I am a huge Suzanne Wright fan which can mean that I am pre-disposed to loving her work, but it also means that when a book falls short of expectations, the disappointment runs deep. It was with that trepidation that I started 'Echoes of Fire'. I had just come off reading another book with a prickly, staunchly independent, possibly annoying heroine that seriously annoyed and affected my enjoyment of the book. Thankfully, I found Madisyn's button-pushing, take-no-effs personality hilarious and endearing because there was insight into WHY she was that way. Throughout the book, she grew and changed. while staying intrinsically true to herself. BOTH MCs grew and changed while accepting each other exactly as they were at the moment. I think that was what I loved about the relationship. It goes without saying that I loved Bracken, the Hero. Damaged and guilt ridden from his loss, it was easy to see and feel his emotional distance. It was even easier to see and feel how determined he was to make the relationship work. He not only understood Madisyn's needs, but put those needs first DESPITE how at odds those needs were with his innate overprotective and demanding nature without losing any of his alpha-ness. I think that's what I loved most about the book. Madisyn and Bracken *shouldn't* work together. Their personalities should mean that they are constantly at odds, but they compromise, empathize and COMMUNICATE with each other. It's so dang refreshing to read characters acting like adults. The external conflict was well handled (and cemented my love for Madisyn forever), and added new characters that I hope will be expanded upon. The Olympus Pack seem like a great pool to explore in the future (hint). There was a really good balance between the focus and progression of the conflict and the relationship. I never felt that one overshadowed or stalled the other, which is a testament to Wright's skills as an author. I highly recommend this book and can't wait for the next one in the series.

Bracken Slater, wolf shifter and enforcer within the Mercury pack. Bracken hasn't been the same since the anti-shifter extremists gunned down his family at the drive-in. He has made a name for himself when he went after every extremist involved and took out his revenge. Madisyn Drake, pallas cat shifter with no pack, works at the lone shifter shelter. Madisyn helps hide lone shifters into a new home when needed. When the alpha from a bear clan sent people to find out where she hid a bear shifter named Daisy that he meant to kidnap into his clan, Madisyn's life is threatened when she refuses to give up Daisy's location. Bracken and Madisyn have known each other for a few years. While they are both attracted to each other, nothing has ever come of the attraction until Madisyn was threatened and Bracken's wolf urges him to protect. I like how the author brought us a mate story where the couple didn't fight the pull and yet still gave us a slow burn love. Bracken knows he's still messed up over his family. Madisyn's shifter nature has a natural independence and struggles with trust. Due to this, Bracken knows he must move slowly but that doesn't stop him from staking his claim immediately. This book provided a lot I love and enjoy in my books. The protective and possessive alpha, the independent and sassy heroine, and side characters that add to the overall storyline. I'm enjoying this series and look forward to the next couple.
