Element of Secrecy
The small town of Brandtville, Pennsylvania is similar to the villages that surround the area. The setting is picturesque with old farmhouses, dirt roads, covered bridges, streams. It's also rich with Native and early American history. What sets it apart is a big secret.

Jenny O'Rourke has been haunted by blurred memories of the town's dark secrets for over twenty years. Brick walls and tight lips have kept her from understanding why she was torn from her home and family in the middle of the night. And why her brother's murder was brushed under the rug.

To find the answers, she has to elude two powerful forces standing in her way ... an estranged but lurking father and the watchful eyes of the Witness Protection Program. She's about to break the only rule they have in common: Never go home. Jenny finds an opportunity, giving her access to everything she thought she ever wanted to know. What she discovers changes everything and leaves a small town in need of some damage control.

About the Author

Heather launched her debut trilogy, The Element Mysteries, in March of 2020. Since then, she has received numerous accolades and was featured in Kirkus Magazine for Element of Secrecy. She’s received five-star editorial reviews from Readers' Favorite and Indies Today. In October of 2020, she earned the Number One spot on Amazon for Element of Secrecy. She also won the "2020 Best Suspense Award" for Element of Danger by Indies Today.

Heather holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in English Literature from Widener University. She began her writing career as a feature writer for the Bucks County Courier Times and has spent the last twenty-five years as an award-winning senior copywriter.
With extensive experience in every aspect of the creative field, Heather and her husband, Adam (a former creative director for top advertising agencies in the Philadelphia region), launched a "mix and match" publishing company for authors who want resources under one roof that won't break their budgets. While publishing her own novels, she learned that the process can be extremely challenging for authors, and she wants to be part of the solution. Her goal is to provide a place where authors can go for all their needs, or just a one. For more information visit: GraylynPress.com.

Heather is also working on her next novel, a treasure hunting thriller based on real events about the shipwreck, San Jose. She resides in Delaware with her husband, daughter and two adorable cats. In her spare time, she loves photography, gardening, cooking, and volunteering.
