EMMA, NSA
Emma Frankenberry was orphaned as a five-year-old and grew up mostly in a Children's Home. She is extremely intelligent but socially underdeveloped. With no parents to guide her, she remains an outcast both in school and with her peers. Her interaction with adults is a continual battle of mental wits. Her relationship with other children is almost non-existent, with the exception of Carrie and Sara whom she grew up with in the Children's Home, and Beth whom for a short while, she was a foster sister to.

She took the SATs in high school to satisfy a promise to Beth. She scored a perfect score and was awarded a full academic scholarship to MIT, where she ended up as the class valedictorian. During her tenure there, she lived in a small room in the back of a synagogue that could only be described as a monk's cell. For extra money, she worked part-time as an embalmer's assistant.

The NSA recruited her out of college and continued her unusual upbringing. She is a super computer nerd who still doesn't interact well with people and works remotely. She develops into a valuable asset for the NSA and even helps the FBI, occasionally. While doing this job, she isn't sure if she is a computer analyst, a spy, or some other type of person. All she knows for sure is that she loves her job because people leave her alone, and she can live in the condo she eventually buys.

About the Author

Ted Reasoner was born and raised in Indiana and attended Purdue University, where he received both his bachelor’s and master’s degrees in Industrial Management. While at Purdue he was one of the scholarship students playing on the Boilermaker basketball team that made it to the final game of the NCAA basketball tournament. Unfortunately, they were defeated by the UCLA Bruins in that final game.

After Purdue came a business career working for companies like General Electric, Rolls-Royce Aircraft Engine, Eli Lilly Pharmaceutical Company, and Western Governors University.

Throughout his college and business years, he hated to write anything. As he approached retirement, he started writing novels. He is uncertain what changed, but now he loves writing. He is a much better storyteller than a writer. Therefore, he hopes you enjoy this story. Please feel free to email me at tedreasoner46@gmail. com and tell me what you thought of the novel you read.
