Engineering Mathematics by Example: Vol. I: Algebra and Linear Algebra
This textbook is a complete, self-sufficient, self-study/tutorial-type source of mathematical problems. It serves as a primary source for practicing and developing mathematical skills and techniques that will be essential in future studies and engineering practice. Rigor and mathematical formalism is drastically reduced, while the main focus is on developing practical skills and techniques for solving mathematical problems, given in forms typically found in engineering and science. These practical techniques are split into three separate books: the topics of algebra, complex algebra, and linear algebra (Vol. I), calculus of single and multiple argument functions (Vol. II), continues and discrete Convolution and Fourier integrals/sums of typical functions used in signal processing, and Laplace transform examples (Vol. III).

About the Author

Robert Sobot received the B.Sc. degree in engineering physics from the University of Belgrade, ex-Yugoslavia, in 1989, and the M.A.Sc. and the Ph.D. degrees in electrical engineering from Simon Fraser University, Canada, in 1996 and 2005 respectively. In September 2014 he joined ENSEA in France as a Full Professor. From 2006 to 2015 he was with Western University in Canada as an Associate Professor, now he is an Adjunct Professor. From 1996 to 2001 he was with PMC-Sierra Inc., Canada, where he was leading projects in analog IC design. During 2012/14 he was invited researcher at the University Pierre et Marie Curie at Sorbonne (LiP6), Paris, France. His research is related to analog IC design and wireless implantable telemetry systems. Since 2012 he is publishing books on the topics of Wireless Communication Electronics and Mathematics by Examples.
