About the Author

Jane Buescher is a first-time author who has always had a love for storytelling, reading, and wordplay. In watching and aiding her two daughters as they learned to read, she was struck by the many exceptions to the rules of the English language. In the Buescher household, the phrase "English is Weird" is a common refrain! Jane hopes this story encourages young readers to persevere in their learning. Jane lives in Redwood City, CA with her husband Eric, daughters Elise and Aiden, and puppy Keko (who you may spot in the pages of this book).

Kristen Haffke is the illustrator of Willow and Oliver in The Case of the Missing Sock and Baily Bear Gets Her Wish. Kristen is also the owner and operator of a pet care business in Savannah, GA where she resides with her husband Nick and their four rescue pets.
