The National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH) received requests for health hazard evaluations from two dental practices (one general and one pediatric) in a metropolitan area of Ohio. Management at each dental practice was concerned about transmission of 2009 pandemic influenza (also known as flu) A (H1N1) (pH1N1) virus to dental staff.
