**I received this book from the author in exchange for an honest review.** THIS. BOOK. RIGHT. HERE. I cannot begin to describe how I feel about this book. It is so well written and guess what!?!?! THERE IS NO LOVE TRIANGLE OR ANY LOVE INTEREST! Mind you the main character is only a 12 year old girl. Sarah, the female protagonist, lives with her grandparents and goes to school like any other 12 year old girl when one night she is woken up by her grandmother and is sent off to her tree house that her grandfather built for her in the middle of the night. As she is leaving, she finds that her house is surrounded by men that have come to take Sarah away from her grandparents and makes her escape to the tree house in hopes that her grandparents will be there shortly thereafter. Though things do not go as planned. Now on the run, she has to find a man that her mother went to college with and find out why Mr. Parnell (her father that she has never known) is coming after her and will stop at nothing in order to get her. Even if he has to kill. Along the way she meets a girl her age and another woman who will help her on the way to figure out exactly what her father wants from her. Sarah might be young, but damn girl, she has fire. She will scorch you with anything she can get her hands on and isn't the whiny girl. Let me just say there is massive biology stuff that is going on in this book that even twisted my mind a wee bit. But I shan't go on about it as it will ruin what actually goes on. This book kept me on my toes and just blew my mind a little bit. I mean that ending! I DID NOT SEE THAT COMING. I had something totally different in my mind as to how the ending would be. I would totally read another one of Rachel Meehan books as this one was just so awesome!
