Author Laura N. Schram works in higher education administration and holds a Ph.D. in political science from the University of Michigan. She is passionate about children's ministry and inclusion in the church, and lives with her husband and two daughters in Ann Arbor, MI.

Illustrator Kimberly Merritt is a pastor's wife serving the Lord in New Hampshire. She has been blessed in homeschooling her children and while pursuing her love of art.
