Everything you wanted to know about prison . . .: But were afraid to ask
With the publication of this book, Michael Lee Wood has already spent 46 years in some of the most hostile,
violent, deprecating, and macabre prisons in the United States. As a teenager in the 1970's, he grew up in prison and learned quickly how to survive. Refusing to bow down to predatory pressures and becoming a statistical casualty, he became a child forgotten in the vicious cycle of prison life; lost was the innocence of a young man still developing both physically and emotionally. Michael became what would propel him into adulthood: He became a prison killer.

This book is a journey through the life of Michael Lee Wood. It's a journey of trials and tribulations;
physical and psychological challenges that would see most men violently perish. You witness firsthand what it means to endure, outlive, and exist in a world of organized chaos. You'll observe a child grow up in a hostile environment that cannot break his indomitable spirit. In fact, it excels his need to be the best.

As a child, Michael did many years in the Ohio juvenile system, the Reformatory, and onto adult prison.
In 1995 he was transferred disciplinary to the Federal prison system and stayed 13 years at the Federal
Supermax in Colorado known as ALCATRAZ OF THE ROCKIES. He would spend another
13 years in Federal prison from the east coast to the west coast.

In March of 2021 the Federal government returned Michael to Ohio. Not only did Michael control the
Ohio prison system --- he now controlled thousands of prisoners in the Federal system. The Federal
Bureau of Prisons in Washington, D.C. wanted no part of a man who controlled such vast numbers of its prisoners.

Like an unwanted step-child, his journey continues.
