Exploring the Religions of Our World
Exploring the Religions of Our World aims to expand teens' understanding of their own religious history and practice by examining other religions of the world. Each religion is introduced with a brief history, and explored through each religions' scripture or major writings, beliefs and practices, and sacred spaces and times. Beginning with Judaism and Christianity, the text also explores other monotheistic faiths before turning attention to ancient religions of the world, such as Hinduism, Sikhism, Buddhism, and more. The religious roots of many American Protestant born religions, such as Mormonism and Jehovah's Witness conclude the text.
