Facing Life's Challenges Head On: How Jesus Gets You Through What You Can't Get Around
Are You Your Own Worst Enemy?

Our toughest opponent is often ourselves. I've been there. I'm a lawyer who became a believer in my late thirties. Then God called me to be a pastor. I've made a lot of mistakes, but in the process, I've learned how to face life's challenges head-on.

In Facing Life's Challenges Head On, I'll weave funny and sometimes sad stories of my own mistakes, together with successes and failures of Biblical characters as they faced similar issues. God included these narratives in the Bible to teach us how to avoid pitfalls and overcome adversity.

Jesus wants that for you! We usually can't prevent what happens to us, but we can change our reaction to it just by following some simple biblical principles.

Are you plagued by anxiety? So was the apostle Paul. Are you gripped with fear? So was the prophet Elijah. Are you riddled with doubt? So was John the Baptist. We'll not only learn from them and others, we'll learn from Jesus, the greatest teacher of all. He'll show us how to get through what we can't get around.

Do you want to learn to live with hope rather than despair, and optimism rather than dread? I invite you to join me on this journey. We'll face some of life's greatest challenges head on.

About the Author

Bob Jennerich was a lawyer in a small law firm in New Jersey when he became a Christian. In 2011, he and his wife, Molly, and their two children, Allison and Brian sold their home in New Jersey and moved to Texas so Bob could attend Dallas Theological Seminary. He accepted the call to become Senior Pastor of Grace Redeemer Community Church in Garland, Texas, in July 2017. Every Sunday he preaches the same gospel that he rejected for so many years. He jokes that if you would have told him 20 years ago that he would be pastoring a church in Texas today, he would have thought that you were crazy.

Bob’s passion is to read and study the Bible and teach it to others, so that they too may experience the life transformation that happens when people receive the gospel. The inspiration to write books sprung from his passion to spread the gospel beyond the walls of the church he pastors.

Bob also loves to travel and exercise. He’s finished 12 marathons. He a sports fan, but mostly from the bleachers these days. One of his goals is to go to a game in every major league baseball stadium.
