Paranormal romance with decent plot. But beware: this book is 154 pages and literally ends in the middle of the story. The writer calls it a cliffhanger in her final note, but it literally feels like someone ripped the book in half and hid the ending. It actually crosses the line from intriguing into annoying...be aware before you settle in with it for the evening...

Wow... That's all I can think to say. This is by far one of the most interesting, hot and hilarious read I have read in a LONG time! I loved pretty much everything about this book from the characters to the bad guys. The book starts of with our main character Grace who has just lost her brother. Along the way we learn about her mysterious past and find out she may not be what she shows everyone else. Once she gets home to her best friend, Lea, we meet Conner her new boyfriend that worships the ground she walks on. While they go Boozer's, the local bar that has a big part in the books, we meet Mad world. Th rock band that has everyone, especially the women, going wild. We have Alex, Ethan, Brayden and Shane. *Sighs* Shane is New York's biggest man whore. The passion and instant chemistry between them is amazing. Through out the book we learn more about graces past. While things heat up with Shane she can't take the leap because one she doesn't want a one night stand and two shes been waiting for her soul mate. This book takes you on a wild ride with questions that will keep you guessing until the very end and some don't even end there. The cliff hanger was killer but luckily for me I didn't have to wait. This book has everything you could want romance, action, contemporary, hot guys and major jerks. This book is a MUST read for everyone even if you don't like paranormal books this one has everything in the mix. I loved this book and the next one even more!

Could have been a good story but the supernatural element ruined it. It was completely unnecessary and out of touch with the rest of the storyline.

I had high hopes going into this one because there was a huge amount of five star review of it on goodreads. It sounded like it had an interesting premise and people we obviously loving it. Unfortunately, I did not feel the same. The first problem I had with this book was the confusion. For a good half of this book, I had no idea what was going on. I knew what was happening but I didn't know why it was happening. I knew it had something to do with Grace's extraordinarily long past but we were kept in the dark for a long time as to why it was significant to what Grace was doing and what, exactly, Grace was. It was annoying to be kept confused about this aspect of the book. I felt it was needed for us to know exactly what was going on before just being thrust onto the Team Grace Train. I just couldn't get behind her because I didn't know exactly why we were working toward what we were. Also, I just really did not like the characters at all. It all felt very much like a soap opera to me. Everything was over dramatized and the characters were all way too sensitive. Plus, Grace was just plain stupid. I'm sorry to say that but really. For however long she's supposedly been alive, it seems like she hasn't learned anything. *Upcoming Spoilers* I mean, the entire time she had been looking for a pair of blue eyes and Shane had blue eyes and for some reason, she decided to completely ignore that fact. Instead, she pushed him away until the next dude came along with another pair of blue eyes and she completely fell for him without another thought. I MEAN, REALLY. *End of Spoilers* I just don't understand her logic in some of the situations she was put in. The other characters were either bland or irritating. Except for Shane. I didn't mind him too much until he started acting all sensitive and butt hurt over nothing. Dude, yes she is going to call you out on being a playboy. You are a playboy. Don't go running off crying when she points that out and doesn't want to get with you because of it. I was sad that the paranormal aspect wasn't brought into this book until the very end because that was actually pretty interesting. It was a unique take of the whole angel thing and this book would have been a lot better in my eyes had we seen more of it. I doubt I'll pick up the next book in this series but hey, you never know. I am a little curious to see how this all pans out.

I loved this entire series. And I absolutely adored this author's writing style. I think I kept a smile on my face almost the entire time. The humor is awesome. Loved the storyline. There just really isn't anything bad to say for me. I have to say that the third book, Scars and Songs, was a must. I understood everything so much better. Before that, I was really on the fence about Shane. Several times I wanted to yell at Grace to get far, far away from him. I kept wondering how could he possibly love her with that kind of behavior. This author has catapulted up to my top spots of favorite writers. This is a must read if you enjoy a true love story with great friends and lots of humor. Highly reccomend.

Still incredible. My new favorite. The feelings could've been embellished on and made the book longer that way, but I love the storyline and twists.
