About the Author

Ophelia Bell believes there’s a philosophical side to writing dirty stories, and loves everything in fiction to the point of distraction, whether it’s sexy humor, literary erotica, or hot paranormal romance. Above all she loves a good bad-boy and especially strong women in her stories. Women who aren’t apologetic about having the upper hand and bad boys who don’t mind being with a woman who’s in charge, at least on the surface, because pretty much anything goes in the bedroom. Ophelia grew up on a rural farm in North Carolina and now lives in Los Angeles with her own tattooed bad-boy husband and four attention-whoring cats.

Deva has found herself in the middle of a dangerous predicament those who carry the bloodline are suddenly being struck with a mysterious illness - being Deva and the curious soulless creature that she is- she decides to investigate while at the same time seeking answers to her own questions-and that is where her story begins - Hang on you are in for quite the journey as our heroine not only seeks out the evil attacking those of the bloodline but searches for the answers to her own mysterious existence as well. This is listed as a standalone - in my opinion for the full effect you need to read the series - Yes it can be read as a standalone, after a few chapters you kind of get an understanding of the characters and their pasts as well as how the magic works. This does end on a bit of a cliffy. Overall this was a solid read just not one of my favorites from this author. I read a comp copy I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

Ophelia Bell has done it again. The story is magical with 5 different men at the center of one woman's heart. The complexity of each character is amazing. This is a must read, if you haven't read it or her books. The way she draws you into each character is breathtaking. This is the story of a young woman on a journey to find herself, as well as her mates. This is a very steamy story that will get your motor running. I can't wait for the next book to come out!!!

I HATE CLIFFHANGERS! Ok now that I have that out of my system. This is an extraordinarily well written and thought out book. I found myself reading it straight through in one sitting. Only to get to the end and have to wait for the next book. This is the first book in the new series find Ophelia. This one is that Deva Rainsong. If you read the last series of books you’ll know she is the daughter born and the end of the story and she is literally one year old. But was forced to grow up in the span of the day. Even though she is young she has the wisdom of the ages. From all the what is infused in her Dream Hair Creations. In this book she is trying to find out what is happening to the bloodline. The one that she’s connected to and can see that something is doing something to their souls. That is where she Mets Bohdi at the hospital and then Ronon, Straus, and his friends. And when she goes home with Ro that is were she finds Ozzie and Lyhr again. And things get so turned around as she fights off what she thinks are Fate’s hounds. Only to find out more from Sophie. I need book two now. Need to know if Ozzie come clean and they all get off their butts and helps Deva find her soul. Now before I ruin this for you I will leave off here. I hope you enjoy this book as much as I did. If you do like this book, please consider leaving a review. The Authors really like it when you do; they value your opinions too

Fate’s Fools is the story of Deva Rainsong and the band: Fate’s Fools, along with a few other musically inclined men. Deva, a chimera of the higher races in human body, has run away from home. She who is without a soul of her own, can see a danger attacking the souls of the bloodline - humans with just a touch of the higher races within them. She is determined to help, even though she has no clue what’s causing the injuries to their souls. She is joined in her quest by Bodhi (human), Rohan (dragon), and Keagan (ursa) who know about as much about what’s going on as she does, but are equally determined to help her. Also along for the ride are Ozzie (turul) and Llyr (satyr), two men who’s past dealings with Deva have left them in love and on the outs with Deva. The mystery of these attacks is compelling in itself. Add in the delightful tension of five men all in love and lust for one woman and you have a formula that will keep you up late and send you for a cold shower in the morning. The prose is so smooth you’ll almost forget that you’re reading. It will leave you wanting more (fortunately there’s more coming). I am loving Deva's story. Bohdi, Ronan, Ozzie, Llyr and Keagan have their work cut out for them to convince Dave and to come clean with her. Looking very much forward to Fate's Folly. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

So Fate's Fools is an offshoot of Ophelia's Immortal Dragons series. I did read all of her Immortal Dragons books, so I can say that yes it does help to read those, you don't really HAVE to. Ophelia covers how and why Deva is what and who she is and what is going on in Fate's Fools. Deva is hoping to find out why people with the bloodline are being hunted. While she is here she meets some people that might be able to help her do just that. But she also has to be careful. She is low on power and with what power she does have she isn't used to using yet. Rohan, Ozzie, Llyr, Keagan, and Bodhi's are the men that are going to help her figure out what is going on. Each man brings her a special spark into her life she didn't know she was missing. I loved that. These men are exactly what she needs when she needs them. Another great book by Ophelia. Can't wait for the next one!

I absolutely loved this book. While I think it can be read alone the story is enhanced if you have read the two series before this one. I couldn’t put this book down. Deva is a strong women who tries her best to do what’s right but has the strength to admit she needs help and doesn’t have all the answers. I can’t wait to read what happens next. It's everything you could expect in an Ophelia Bell book and more! I'm loving Deva, her sweet innocence yet her ancient mind is simply amazing! Oh! And the men....sigh...they are so damn yummy and irresistible and wow!
