5+ It's Official My mind has been Blown!! Reading a book by Meg Collett is a like walking thru a haunted house at a carnival..your heart races, you're sweating, and you're constantly looking around to see what else is going to make you jump out of your skin,You just never know whats going to happen and you find yourself begging for more! Fear University is amazing.. I need bk 2 now! I need to know what happens with Ollie,Luke Sunny and Hatter.. Will Ollie finally get some answers and if she does will she be able to handle it? or is"sh*t about to go down?"

WOW! Completely, utterly, wicked! I CANNOT GET THIS STORY OUT OF MY HEAD! This is a new author for me and I will be reading more. I read this in one sitting and could not put it down! A paranormal, thriller, suspensful, hot headed, and witty story with so many twists that it will leave your head spinning! Ollie is a young adult girl who was born with a disease that causes her to feel no pain...physical, that is. She has a dark past and is flying under the radar. She happens to run into an aswang one evening and this fateful moment changes everything for her. It is a deadly encounter and she kills the aswang but is forced into a new endeavor with Fear University. She is taken here to train to learn to hunt the aswang menace. She finally feels like she belongs and has a purpose but things start to quickly unravel as she uncovers more lies than truths. This story has no gaps and no downtime. Beware because when you start the story it holds you tight until the very end! “There is something to be said for the night The darkness holds a sense of promise, as if anything could happen Maybe something good, like a handsome stranger Or something with snarling teeth That whispers pretty things as it eats you Thus, the night is a test. A test of fear. And the sweet promise of pain” “Like if you grow up knowing the monster under your bed is real, you don’t understand a life where they aren’t, you know? I always knew the night was bad.” “Dead with a pretty bow on top. Monster free-for-all. Instructions included.” There will be no spoilers from me. The cover and the synopsis drew me in but the actual story...the characters, the background, the story is incredible. There are some gorey scenes and a few hot moments that transpire between Ollie and someone she is not quite sure she can trust. But the truths that are uncovered are crazy! CANNOT WAIT for the sequel!!! Bring it on!

I was not given this book for an honest review, I won it fair and square!! LOL. This book is AMAZING!! It deals with the myths of aswangs, huge black dog type animals with glowing eyes, long razor sharp canine teeth with long ropes of saliva coming off them. Doesn't that sound pretty?? No?? Well good, because they're not. Oh, and they feed off your fears. In order to kill them, you must be stronger than them, faster than them, more cunning than they are... AND not fear them. Then there's Ollie. A young woman, an orphan, had Congenital analgesia, (a condition that affects the pain sensors of the brain). She was thrown from foster home to foster home, with almost every one of them testing her "pain threshold". Nice huh?? Nope, definitely not. She's found in Kodiak, Alaska by two guys in some sort of uniforms with all kinds of "gear" on them. They are Hatter and Luke. They begrudgingly introduce the young woman, Ollie to FEAR UNIVERSITY. This book is intense!!!! There's really no other way to describe it. From beginning to end. It's unputdownable. Although, you may have to, just to catch your breath, if nothing else. I LOVED Fear University, and can't wait to see what comes next!!!

Well that was certainly intense! Very good read. Got a tad slow and repetitive at times but mostly I just couldn't stop reading.

OMG She did it again!! Don't know which book is my favorite anymore because this was just WOW!!! Ollie's on the run but when she kills a monster she ends up in Fear University where you're trained to kill aswangs. There she becomes friends with Sunny and trains with Luke (oh and the attraction is there) and feels like maybe she might belong somewhere. But what happens when you find out stuff you're not supposed to and learn about other things? Well this is Ollie's story and I so want, no need book 2!!! The author knows how to tell a story that just brings the reader into the world that she wants you know about and this story is no different. Totally totally totally recommend it but make sure you have time to read cause you won't want to put it down!

Meg rocks my world! She cocoons me in her spellbinding worlds, weaving compelling stories with intriguing and fascinating characters. This series is outstanding. Who could fail to fall in love with Luke or Hatter. Who doesn't root for Ollie and live through every trial with her and feel her pain every step of the way. Who doesn't sit there nodding and seeing themselves in the words of Sunny. Meg has a unique talent of putting me right there in the action in her books and putting me through the wringer of emotions and I love it! I relish and savour every book she writes and am always left hungry for more.

Psychologically twisted and wickedly fun! A story that keeps you guessing with wonderful twists and heart-pounding action. The characters were crazy fun. I loved Ollie's sass and spunk. She didn't take any bs from anyone and it was a refreshing relief. Luke was swoon worthy for me even with his dark and dangerous personality. The story kept getting better and better the further I got into it. The whole concept was interesting and I love a story that makes you think like this one did. I definitely want more and can't wait to see where it goes from here. *As a caution there are some scenes some people might find disturbing.*

This book was fantastic. I went into it not knowing what to think and it was amazing. Ollie was born a monster. She can't feel pain. Hopping from foster home to foster home has left its mark on her. One night, she meets a couple guys and they take her to Fear University to train and fight other monsters. This book ends in a kind of cliffie. I eagerly await the next installment.

Meg's talent for story telling is taken to a new height!!! I have read all her books, and loved them, but this one has you reading straight through, dreading that the ending is coming, and hoping the next part is close to being done. Ollie would seem like the average girl. But looks can be deceiving. Since she can remember, she hasn't been able to feel pain. After her mother dies, she is tossed into foster homes. Most foster homes offer love and safety, but not the ones Ollie ends up in. In these, its almost like they are constantly trying to test her pain tolerance. That is until she was 16, and that was the last time it would ever happen again. Now on the run, she does what she has to, to survive. Alaska being the ends of the earth to some, Ollie works in a diner as a waitress. Working late at night and walking home might bother most, but not Ollie. She's seen Hell, and the little gun she carries is added leverage. But a ticking of a clock and a strange dog are about to turn her world upside-down. Welcome to Fear University....where you are trained to forget your fears, don't know who to trust, who wants you dead, or who knows your deepest darkest secrets!!!
