CHAPTER 1

Addictions

My dear child, I see you struggling with your addiction feeling defeated by it. Remember, when I walked this Earth many years ago I was tempted too, so I understand your pain and I will help you through your struggle. It may seem to you that this is too much to handle. This addiction has become a part of your life. But remember, My child, NOTHING is impossible with Me by your side. I am much bigger than your addiction.

Take one day at a time and ask for My guidance and I will give you enough grace for the day as I promise in Matthew 6:34 -- "So do not worry about tomorrow; for tomorrow will care for itself" (Matthew 6:34, NASB). Each day has enough trouble of its own. Read My Bible daily and ask The Holy Spirit to help you to understand it. My Word has the solutions to all of life's troubles. You have no control over your future, but I do. So give it to Me and take one day at a time and you will be amazed at what I will do in your life!

The pleasures I gave you in this world were meant for your temporary enjoyment, not to enslave you. An activity may start out as fun but when it becomes an addiction, and all you think about, it is time to give it to Me and I will turn your pain to purpose. I never waste pain.

There are many reasons for addictions: genetics, mental illness, peer pressure, loneliness, stress, escape from current life situations, or simply boredom. There are verses in The Bible to help with all of these. You live in a fallen world where the temptations of the devil are very real and can be overcome by prayer.

Take comfort, My child as the Bible states "No temptation has overtaken you that is not common to man. I am faithful, and I will not let you be tempted beyond your ability, but with the temptation I will also provide the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it" (1 Corinthians 10:13, ESV).

Look for signs that I am giving you to help you. I may send a friend to help, I may lead you to do some work for Me like helping others with their addictions. Trust in Me and I will show you a way out. Stay away from bad company who will influence you to stray. Change your environment. Ask Me to change your desires. I love to grant you anything that will bring you closer to Me!

Turning to Me in prayer will always be the better choice.

It took some time for this to become an addiction so at times you may find yourself giving in to these temptations, so do not beat yourself up! You are human and surrendering yourself to Me is a life-long process so do not give up. Repent and come back to Me. I will be waiting for you with open arms as I am a loving and forgiving God.

As I said I will never waste pain so I may ask you to help others with the same addiction as they will listen to one who has walked in their shoes. If you want to find true happiness, look for ways to be a blessing to others. You were made by Me and for Me so by looking for ways to help others you will experience the kind of joy only I can give.

Addictions lead to feelings of guilt, shame, hopelessness, despair, failure, rejection, and anxiety. These are the work of the devil. You will find in Me the Fruits of The Holy Spirit which are: charity, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, generosity, gentleness, faithfulness, modesty and self-control. So seek Me and you will experience these gifts to the fullest. Remember to take it one day at a time because I will give you enough Grace just for the day. I am the God of yesterday, today, and tomorrow so do not worry about the future for I am already there. I love you My child and will never leave you to handle this alone!

CHAPTER 2

Anger

My precious child, I see you with so much anger inside. This saddens Me as I am in you and I am love. Anger can be one of the most intense, destructive, and unhealthy emotions that you can experience. If not handled in the proper way, you can have drastic life-changing consequences.

This is why I left you with My Word, The Bible, which was meant to be your guide through life. I also left you with My gift of The Holy Spirit, who will help you to understand My Word. All you have to do is ask Him.

First, give your anger to Me and I will calm your heart as I promised in The Bible – "My dear brothers and sisters, take note of this: Everyone should be quick to listen, slow to speak and slow to become angry, because human anger does not produce the righteousness that God desires" (James 1:19-20, NIV).

When you take the time before reacting to a situation and pray to Me for guidance, I will bring your heart the peace only I can provide. You will then be able to move forward and resolve the problem with a calm heart which will produce the best outcome for all. Trust Me, you will be amazed how quick I work in you!

Anger is a secondary emotion. Ask Me to reveal the real reason for your anger. I will help you discover what it is you need to work on to resolve the real problem. Most anger comes from the feeling of not being in total control of your life. Trust in Me, surrender control to Me, and watch what wonderful things I will do in your life! I make this promise to you in Jeremiah 29:11 – "For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future" (Jeremiah 29:11, NIV).

Anger is also a response to the feeling of being overwhelmed or exhausted. When I walked this Earth many years ago I took much needed time just to be quiet, sit, and pray. The world tells you that you must constantly be doing something in order to be productive. You set goals and strive very hard to accomplish them. Although goal setting is important, learning to enjoy the journey of getting to your goals is even more important. Talk to Me about your goals and I will make your path straight. I will teach you how to enjoy the moment and to live in the present. This will calm your spirit and remove your anger. When life gets to be overwhelming do what I did many years ago, take the time to sit and pray. This way you will move forward with peace.

Anger can also come from being treated unfairly or from what someone did to you. When you stay connected to Me you will not be concerned about the actions of others. Find comfort in Psalm 37:7-8 – "Be still before the LORD and wait patiently for him; do not fret when people succeed in their ways, when they carry out their wicked schemes. Refrain from anger and turn from wrath; do not fret- it leads only to evil" (Pslam 37:7-8, NIV).

Get up every day and ask Me how you can be a blessing to others. I will then work in you to change you from the inside out. This will be pleasing to Me and you will find great joy and happiness. I created everything for your joy and pleasure, but most days you do not even notice My works. The beautiful sunrise that you woke up to this morning, the gentle breeze that I kiss you with, the colorful flowers everywhere, and the birds of the air flying with no care.

I want you to have a full and abundant life My child. This anger can steal the joy I have planned for you if you are not careful. My gift to you is life itself, your gift to Me is what you do with it. Life will not always be easy for you, it was never meant to be, but together we can get through any problems. Find comfort in John 16:33 -- "I have told you these things, so that in Me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world" (John 16:33, NIV).

So, My precious child, the next time you feel anger building up inside of you simply call My name and I will come to you. I will turn your anger into something good. When you seek Me with your whole heart and love Me above anything or anyone else, there will be no room for anger in your heart, only love. I love you My dear child and I will never leave you alone.

CHAPTER 3

Anxiety/Worry

My dear child, I see you worried about many things that you do not have total control over.

First of all, remember and take comfort in the fact that I did not create you just to leave you on your own. Those thoughts you have: fear of something happening, fear of you going crazy, feeling out of control - these thoughts can really take over your life if you let them. Replace these thoughts with My promises and make your faith bigger than your fear!

The biggest message I give in My Word, the Bible is "do not be afraid." When you have these scary thoughts, surrender them to Me and I will turn them to good if you truly trust Me. I gave you My word, The Bible, to be your compass in life. If you give power to a single negative thought then you are in danger of those thoughts giving life to fear, judgement, anger, and obsession.

Most fear comes from attachment to someone or something. Do not be attached to anything in this world for you were created to live in eternity with Me. Be comforted, My child, by My promise in 2 Corinthians 4:18 – "So we don't look at the troubles we can see now; rather, we fix our gaze on things that cannot be seen. For the things we see now will soon be gone, but the things we cannot see will last forever" (2 Corinthians 4:18, NLT).

That is true with fear too. If you do not dwell on scary thoughts, rather dwell on My promises you will see fear disappear. You fill your mind with so many 'what ifs' that never happen. Worry means you do not trust Me. It cannot change the past or control the future, it just messes up today.

When I left this world many years ago I gave you the gift of The Holy Spirit who dwells in you to be your guide through life as promised in John 14:27 - "I am leaving you with a gift – peace of mind and heart. And the peace I give is a gift the world cannot give. So don't be troubled or afraid" (John 14:27, NLT). When your mind wanders to scary thoughts say this verse over and over and really let it sink in. You will experience REAL peace that only I can give.

I hear your prayers My dear child and I have great plans for your life which you will find in Jeremiah 29:11 -- "For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future" (Jeremiah 29:11, NIV). This world tells you it is a sign of weakness to constantly need Me. This is simply not true, for I created you to need Me. The world says 'be strong' I say, "Let Me be your strength."

My promise states in Romans 12:2 – "Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God's will is — his good, pleasing and perfect will" (Romans 12:2, NIV). So turn off those anxious thoughts and replace them with thankful praise and watch what I do in your life! You will be amazed. Take everyday life, your eating, sleeping, working, your plans for fun, everything you do and place it before Me as an offering. Embracing what I have done for you is pleasing to Me. I love a trusting thankful heart.

You have trained your mind to worry so now it is time to train your mind to trust. This will take time but I will hold your hand every step of the way! So If you want to experience My peace do the following: worry about nothing, pray about everything, thank Me in all things, keep your mind on good things and be content in all things.

So as you see My child there is a way to calm your anxious mind. The mind is a wonderful gift I gave you but if you fill it with too much noise it will be hard to hear Me. Keep Me close and read My promises to you. Getting to know Me in a deep personal way will help you through the most difficult challenges of your life. Do not look for Me outside of yourself for I am in you.

Take one day at a time, surrender your fears to Me, realize that most of what you fear I would never allow to happen. Rest in Me and I will bring you peace. I love you My child and would NEVER leave you to face your fears alone.

CHAPTER 4

Belief

My dear child, I see you struggling with belief in Me. You are experiencing many painful things that make you question if I am real. You live in a fallen world in which evil is very much a part of. When I gave you free will, as I wanted you to love Me freely, many people turned from Me and sin entered the world.

When I walked this Earth many years ago, I suffered a horrible death on the cross so that you may live in eternity with Me in Heaven. To get there you must believe in Me as your personal savior. I love you so much and want you to live with Me in Heaven, that I left you with My Word, The Bible, which has been proven to be true over and over again for thousands of years.

In My Word, I gave you over 7,000 promises to help you with any problems you will face. I also left you with the gift of The Holy Spirit, who dwells in you, to help you understand My Word. If you truly want to seek Me, you will find Me as I promise in Jeremiah 29:13 – "You will seek Me and find Me when you seek Me with all your heart" (Jeremiah 29:13, NIV). This will take faith which means to believe that which you cannot see.

Let Me give you an earthly example of faith. A father wants to teach his son to swim, so he tells his child to trust him and jump into his arms. The child is afraid as he knows he cannot swim. The more he hears his father say "trust Me son, I will catch you," the more he believes this to be true, so he takes a leap of faith and his father catches him. He did not put his faith in his own ability, rather in his trust that his father, who loves him, will catch him.

I, your Heavenly Father, love you much more than your earthly father so you need to trust Me. To obtain this trust, you must develop an intimate relationship with Me. By studying My Word, and all My promises, and the depth of My love for you, you will come to know Me and believe in Me.

My Spirit will be your guide in understanding My word. All you have to do is ask Him. You see I made no one quite like you! You have a purpose in life that I will reveal to you, if you truly believe. Find comfort in My promise in Jeremiah 29:11 – "For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future" (Jeremiah 29:11, NIV)

You were not meant to go through life on your own. I will place just the right people of faith to help you on your journey. I did not promise you days without pain, laughter and no tears, or sun without rain. What I do promise is strength for the day, comfort for the pain, and light for the way. So, if I allow something to happen in your life, I will bring you through it as nothing is impossible with Me, as I promise in Matthew 19:26 – I (Jesus) looked at them and said, "With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible" (Matthew 19:26, NIV).

In developing an intimate relationship with Me, you will have a deep desire to help others. I will show you how to do this and your heart with be filled with joy! You are going to be amazed at what I will do with your life! I love you My dear child and will NEVER leave you!

CHAPTER 5

Bullying

My precious child, I see you with such fear and worry over that bully that won't seem to leave you alone. This makes you feel like no one is beside you.

Let Me start by saying you are never alone. I am with you always and will never leave you.

When I walked this Earth many years ago, I, too was picked on and ridiculed so I understand what you are going through. That is why I left you with My Word, the Bible, which was meant to be your guide through life. It has over 7,000 promises that will help you through any problem. I also left you with the gift of The Holy Spirit which will help you understand My Word. All you have to do is ask Him!

Please read and find comfort in the following promise; Deuteronomy 31:6 – "Be strong and courageous! Do not be afraid and do not panic before them. For the LORD your God will personally go ahead of you. I will neither fail you nor abandon you" (Deuteronomy 31:6, NLT).

I knew you would face problems in this world, so My biggest message in The Bible is "do not be afraid." When you pray to Me I promise I will listen and help you. Sometimes that help is through someone else so do not try to handle this situation alone. I would never allow anything to happen to you without providing you with the strength to handle it, as I love you so much! I promised this in Psalm 18:3 – "I called on the LORD, who is worthy of praise, and he saved Me from My enemies" (Pslam 18:3, NLT).

For inspiration read the story of David and Goliath which is found in the Bible in 1 Samuel chapter 17. The giant Goliath was challenging God's people to stand up to him and David's faith was so strong that with God's help he was able to defeat the giant. This story shows if you trust in Me, no matter how afraid you are, I will be your strength!

Do not try to get even with a bully, let Me take care of them. You should love your neighbor as you love yourself. It is ok to hate the bully's actions - but Love them, as they are also a child of Mine. These actions come from the devil and I can handle evil.
